Redpath played footy for the Bendigo Bombers in the VFL last year. What's your reference to a VAFA divvy three side? I would also argue that the Bendigo Footy League is a higher standard than ammos division three. Surely you're not being serious that a VAFA is up to the standard of the GWS team. Get off the grass if you are.

Collingwood do have a lot out, but having 17/22 out might be pushing it just a bit. I'm not sure how they will line up exactly against us, but Swan, Thomas, Shaw, Sidebottom, Jolly, Ball, Dawes, Toovey have been named, which makes eight. Personally, I'd also have Fasolo and Macaffer (when fully fit) in their best 22. It's a weak Collingwood team, but still a team that could easily beat us. We have a few out too...

I only suggested Redpath because I see him just throwing about their kids and just making them hurt, almost as a welcome to the AFL sort of moment.

I think this is more hype than anything though.

Has anyone actually seen Redpath throw around his weight yet? I've been to 3 or 4 training sessions this pre-season, including the intra club, and I haven't seen it yet.

Not to say he won't/can't do it -- but I think supporters are getting ahead of themselves with Redpath.

Do I really need to type it out like this?

GWS will be just "competitive" at VFL level as evidenced by the Suns inaugural year and their performance in the VFL prior. GWS has a worse squad without the likes of Gary Ablett, Bock etc and will be a VFL/VFL reserve level side, as Redpath is a VFL standard player right, letting him play vs the Giants is not the same as pitting him against full strength non GWS sides come H/A season.
