Clearly you missed the point...

My guess is, if he'd stayed at the Bulldogs he most likely, potentially, almost certainly really, would not have broken his anything playing for Richmond.

Just read on another forum that a source close to Danny Frawley (of all people) has confirmed that Nathan Brown still has no feeling in 3 of his toes and may never play AFL again.

Can anyone shed some light? Is this just the usual bulldust or is there something more to it?

Might have stretched a nerve. Should recover, may take a while. Danny's the last person on the planet you'd take advise from, as the Tiges found out last year. Correction: 2nd last - forgot about GT. :)

jealous doggies supporters once again theres always 1 when nathan brown is mentioned

One thing Brownie has is guts. I know for a fact he played with some really painful injuries when he was with us and if there is any way that he can get back on the field he will

Good luck Nathan.

I think "bitter" would be more fitting than "jealous". Not sure any Dogs fan would be "jealous" of Richmond having a 500k p/a gimp on their list.

If he stayed at the Dogs, he would still be on a waiting list at a public hospital for his operation .... :D

Yeah and if he played for the Blues he could get shot down in the same street his club plays at.

Ah well if he doesnt play again at least he has a good property port folio that doesnt come under the salary cap.

Is it true his new nickname will be Hopalong Cassidy?

No big deal - As some have allready mentioned on here. I too broke my leg and suffered nerve damage, 5 years ago now and still have very little sensation in a couple of my toes and some of my foot. You get used too it and it doesn't interfere - The only thing is you could sever a toe and not really know until you saw it.

Broken bone in leg = no correlation to feeling in toes.

Next rumour please.

The leg folded in half like a piece of paper

Likely somewhere inbetween that horrible fold was some sort of nerve leading to the toes that was affected

As a medical student about to be examined on this stuff. I can assure you that all myotomes and dermatones communicate to the spinal cord through the legs (not rocket science). It follows that they all must pass near the fibula and/or tibia. Brown's broken leg and related soft tissue damage therefore, could easily result in a whole array of losses of sensory modalities.

Common sense really.

You're going to fail your exam with that type of waffle. He has a neuropraxia from the trauma - probably common peroneal nerve. :)

Yeah, but at least he played more good games for us than he did for you......we're not going to be the ones paying his salary for the next 18 months whilst he recovers....bit of a waste of a salary cap

Personally I hope he does, he is a gun player. His break is similar to Cisse for Liverpool who is back playing and scored last night. Brown's biggest obstacle will be the crap going on in his head.

Hamill seems to be the opposite.Struggling carrying his wallett.

Hamill's carrying a hip injury and the solution is simple. He needs to spread his money equally between the left and right pockets, and perhaps get rid of the wallet and use a more aerodynamic money clip.

Also he needs to get rid of any coins he has, they carry a lot of weight. Perhaps Dal Santo and Kozi can run behind Hamill and collect the loose change, God knows they need the cash after being shortchanged by 800k each.

To compensate Hamill throwing away his coins, maybe the Saints can extend his contract to ten years.l

What are you an othopaedic surgeon or something???

I suffered exactly the same injury as Nathan, and several times the nurse came in and touched my toes and foot and asked me if I could feel it.
