He will never be a replacement for Coxy or Cameron.
We played McStay with AJ and Brodie with 3 smalls against Rich. BUT Cox didn’t play.yes we are. we are dropping ginni or harrison for mcstay. almost a cert
Sadly Krueger can’t Ruck - he’s next to useless.Never is a big statement.
I’m still not convinced we will have the luxury to run two rucks when everybody is fit and firing. If a key forward who can ruck is kicking multiple goals in the seconds, and the form of one of Cameron/cox slips marginally, then the pressure is on the selectors.
We haven’t even managed to slot mcstay in yet, not to mention getting DeGoey Sidebottom and Elliott back.
Agree - his awkwardness is an issue for me, he’s like a bull at a gate. He is often reckless in attempting impossible marks, that spoil opportunities or could cause potential injury for team mates.Even his marking looks a bit uncoordinated even though he marked a few
the value of the 2-ruck combo is in their pure rucking, around the ground follow-up, goals (& contested work) as KPF and, importantly, contested marking around the ground.Never is a big statement.

Whilst they both continue to clunk marks, it's a winner. Particularly as Cox is a genuine threat up forward at the moment.the value of the 2-ruck combo is in their pure rucking, around the ground follow-up, goals (& contested work) as KPF and, importantly, contested marking around the ground.
this needs to be the benchmark when you're comparing the 2-ruck combo vs 1-ruck + forward/part-time ruck combo.

Can't see it happening without injuries. Cox is a very dangerous forward at the moment, who creates chances from 50/50s to the hotspot. This is correct.
However the trade off is the potential benefit of having someone fast and dangerous below their knees like Kreugs- with one of him or McStay giving the chop out instead of a full time lumbering ruckman like Cox/Cameron (both good players, but limited).
Most teams don’t play with two rucks. It’s been going well for us, but there’s a chance we may seek to tweak things a bit going into finals- adding the extra dynamism of someone like a Krueger into the mix.

He's just about the best 2nd ruck around at the moment. Not only up forward, his work further up the ground has been really good for us as well.
For sure. Cox’s form keeps Kru as a backup option for now, but if form or injuries happen it’s something we have up our sleeve. Can't see it happening without injuries. Cox is a very dangerous forward at the moment, who creates chances from 50/50s to the hotspot.

He is not a ruckman. He could be a key forward. If he went into the middle it would be for 5 minutes per quarter or we will be slaughtered against a team like Melbourne.Come on Domus. Never? What if Cameron does his knee again?

I think we should give that trio (Checkers as well) a trial run in the coming weeks as all three can play tall but are also mobile and okay at ground level.McStay or Kreuger come in for Johnson v Adel you’d think.
He's dangerous when he's there for the contest, but that's not often enough. How many marks did he contest in the second half today? So many kicks forward without any real contest from us. A McStay is sorely needed given his aerobic capacity and ability to compete. Can't see it happening without injuries. Cox is a very dangerous forward at the moment, who creates chances from 50/50s to the hotspot.
Except for Moore, our talls wound the clock back a couple of years. They all looked really meh. He's dangerous when he's there for the contest, but that's not often enough. We saw last year and again today, Mihocek and the rucks do not give us enough of a contest in games where ball movement is stymied. It's why we recruited McStay and why he'll be into the team asap.
Cox and Cameron are locked in. That is our ruck set up if both are fit. They are going nowhere. Mcstay replaces AJ. Can you imagine Krueger at the centre bounce against Gawn today or in a final? What a terrifying thought!Never is a big statement.
