Im surprised no thread exists yet. He had a good end to the season and with Collingwood not in a rush to sign him on I can 100% see him elsewhere. A fair few teams make sense to me here

Krueger to Port Adelaide to replace Charlie Dixon
Kreuger to Brisbane on the IF Joe Daniher retires
Krueger to Demons as Ben Browns replacement on the list

Id say all 3 woud be giving him a 2 year deal even with injury history and hoping to turn it around. Id probably be in his ears if im Port Adelaide. Seems a very ideal fit

Krueger has a horrible record keeping fit and terrible hands.

Also despite his aggression and competitiveness he lacks strength and can get pushed under the ball quite easily by experienced defenders.

I’d like to keep him for depth but I can’t see too much interest if he’s cut.

You mustn't have seen much of the lad then.

Chose to leave Geelong for greener pastures and no out of the AFL ..

I was a fan but in essence walked out of the club and it backfired.

Wish him well but the reap what you sow is running hot here.

He’d be delisted earlier if he stayed at the catters.

The guy had no chance of breaking into that Geelong team and left for more opportunities at the Pies.

Poor behaviour to be sinking in the boots here.

He had made his AFL debut with us and wanted to play forward only. We had more opportunities down back.

Trust me.. I have many posts about wanting him to succeed with us and thought he would but he chose to leave and it didn’t work.

Doesn't have the footy IQ to play defence. Perhaps he didn't give himself the chance when he was at Geelong - I wouldn't know. There was a point going into 2023 that I'd have liked to see him play defence because it's easier on his injury prone body, but as time passed I think it's extremely likely he'd have been a dud defender.

He wouldn't have made it at Geelong for the same reasons he didn't at Collingwood. We did you a solid by keeping open a spot on your list instead of having a bloke who missed two thirds of all games.

He also doesn’t have sure enough hands to play defence.

Bit rich for a Geelong supporter to be having a crack at a bloke leaving for another club.

I was never a fan of Krugs, he was never getting a game in that forward line for Geelong.

He sulked when he couldn’t get a game. Cats even trialed him in the backline as a key defender to see if it could get more out of him.
By most reported accounts, Nathan leaving was not on good terms.

Just my opinion so take it with a grain of salt but I reckon he thought he was a lot better than he really is and figured he deserved a spot over other blokes which is ridiculous considering the guys who played his position at the time.

Can you knock a bloke for having the confidence in himself to be a best 22 at another club?

Not to mention the fact he was competing with Hawkins and Cameron for spots up front

Every player should back themselves in, but they should also have some sense and look for better opportunities to extend their career when they present themselves
