Dr Kappa is going to be devastated with this news.

He might have to hand in his Weetbix box that has his medical doctorate on it and form his own break away medical association where he can teach fish not to swim, just in case they might drown.
Can you send him to werribee, I need fish that can't swim so I can catch the ****ers

From memory, the certificates used to be in or on Wheaties boxes. Is the cereal still on supermarket shelves? It was like eating cardboard.
There's a blast from the past. Wheaties.

I don't think they are. I don't think I've seen them in many years.

The research is showing that there is a cumulative effect every time a person has brain trauma. So if he was on the cusp this time, then what will happen next time. Will he be on or over the cusp. It’s a legitimate concern.
I wish he would retire. Of course I don’t want him to but his health is paramount.

I love a good School Teacher clash. I still have the welts on my bum from having to bend over and be smacked by a piece of 4 x 2.
Ahhhh - the good old days when you could belt students with whatever building materials were lying around.

Form 1 at a Catholic school was very painful for me. It got to a stage where my maths teacher would begin each class by bringing me to the front of the room, regardless of whether I did anything wrong, and make me bend over, then he would use like a flick and that stung more than being hit with it

While not wanting to minimize the potential effects of concussion, was he actually anymore “on the cusp” this time than at any of his previous concussions?

wow, i thought that was only a ballarat thing. Our teaches had a cabinet full of canes of various widths.

I still laugh, best mate caned so hard his head went through the plaster wall, i couldnt stop laughing, resulting in many more canes for me

It was fairly brutal. In primary school, the principal would give you 6 cuts on each hand, back and front. There was a Nun who used to grab a handful of jumper from your chest and pound you back and forth , right in the heart. Imagine if they still did those things today, it would result in a prison sentence.

it would hey, and it was considered normal

Very well said and true but I still think it is okay to have concerns for his long term future.
He’s in a higher risk category for sure due to his history, head contact is managed much better than 20 years back. I love the way he goes about it but it is a game and he may need to curb his enthusiasm a little, play a little smarter.

Valuable lesson to learn, never, ever laugh when you’re in the queue for the cane.

Ah yes, canes, rulers, straps & one teacher had a cricket bat that he made you sign before whacking you on the clacker.

Good times.

Maybe just trust the guys with the big brains and years of study and practical experience. That's the best knowledge we have - if they give him the green light, stop your fussing.
