Gotta take him if he's best available.

Reads good. Left footer, aggressive tackler, accumulating inside mid, super athletic, tall, clean hands. What's not to like?

We shouldn't take one just for the sake of it. They have to be worthy.
When would Stevens be best available in your opinion? Meaning, who needs to be off the board for him to be best available at our pick?

I hope we go for best available talent, except for half-back flankers given we have an overabundance of medium defenders.

Also, if people aren't sold on the look of Archer Reid, I hope we don't draft him just because he's a tall forward, it'll likely end up a waste. Better to draft the best available player and work with what you have on your list.

With that in mind, I hope we go for Murphy (key back), Morris (medium forward, hopefully grows another few cm), Roberts (quick midfielder), or Stevens (big bodied mid).

Good result if one of those fall to us.

BigFooty Richmond predicted recruit-

Brokk Klownshoes

Height:
178-193 with likelihood of growing 10cm directly after draft

Position: Halfbackforward with potential to not get possessions in the Centreflankback

DOB: same day he was born

Club: Outtapharksville, Solomon Islands.

Left-footed when his right foot is planted on the ground, right-footed when his left foot is planted on the ground. Un-footed when swimming. Quick handed and slow witted resulting in him disposing of the ball rapidly into his own face. Had a consistent year in that he made it through every day without fail. Averages 22.9 possessions but only 6.8 disposals. Strong overhead, taking marks mainly for the opposition. Kicked 10 goals and another 17 when he changed out of his thongs.

Draft combine: Tested 5.04 seconds for the 20m sprint after night on the turps, but 3.04 seconds when running away from the tobacconist with a pack of rollies. 2km time trial – DNF given KFC was only 1.2km from start point.

AFL Player Comparison: Relton, 12 years after retiring.

Everyone is quick to list our misses but we've had some wins top end of the draft. Dusty and Vlas still playing top football. We snagged Bolton with pick 29. Not every draft pick is gonna be a 200 game player.
May aswell leave Colonial Stadium now then

I know it's not AFL draft related, but the VFL team have seen Misilifi Faimolo & Brad Melville depart, while they have recruited Joel Garner, no not the West Indian bowler, as a player and development coach.

The inevitability of this thread has reminded me I need to book in a prostate exam.

Don't know about you guys, but anyone else think this is worrying?

Reading the description I have more concerns on if he can put on weight to compete than his defensive craft.

Reading his history he was previously a forward in his junior days. Defensive craft can be learned. Our recruiters would have an idea of his capability to learn.

Honestly wouldn't be upset if we pick him up.

Its because Indians dont let their kids play contact sports.
Can tell you my daughter plays footy for teams, one in the YJFL and one in the EDFL.

Lotts of indian kids, actually it's pretty diverse.

More likely to have little johnny white or little Janey white not because of concussion fears...
