There should be patches where you can change the trainer guy's voice in MP.
Coach Bombay (being awesome), Kevin Sheedy (rabbiting on about some unrelated bullshit), Mr Miyagi (being philosophical) etc.
How good would that be?

They should add press conferences to CAL as well, even though the voice will sound nothing like the real NBA players.

Also, what do people think the next step in the franchise will be. First they did the greatest player, then the greatest teams....but what about greatest seasons?? Ie. maybe they choose a season (95-96) for example with all rosters just like they were back then??

Trying to think what they could add to My Player as well...maybe the ability to be a coach? Or even become a coach once your playing days are over?

Hard to think what they will add, as now that they have added these legends etc it is probably a backwards step to just to get rid of that portion of the game.

In my player mode in 2k11 you got to a point in the game where you were the star of the team and management would come to you to see what other players around the league you were interested in trading for. I've played through a whole season, lifted my rating to 92 but this hasn't happened yet. I've tried searching on the Internet but found nothing. Does anybody know if this feature still exists?

Do you think that the fact that the NBA 2k11 thread on here had probably triple the amount of replies is a measure of its popularity? Or was there just more hype because of the Jordan stuff? Just wondering as I haven't bothered to pick up 2k12 because of the issues I've read about on here and that I can still get enjoyment out of 2k11.

I don't know but it took me until the first year playoffs for me to start at PG (Ahead of Nash)

I just want to sim the whole year (2nd year) so I can choose my contract but there are twice as many keygames this year so looks like I'll have to play more.... ughh...

I hate the suns......

Stay cool.

The Suns have a team option on your contract, you'll be there for a third year barring a trade request.

I got bored of the Suns (as a SF) early in the 1st year despite having already taken the starting job from Grant Hill. I decided to scope out contenders where I could easily displace the starter and ended up on the Bulls. But, they traded me and Nash for Rose... No big deal as Nash was the only Suns player who was decent to play with, but damn...

I think it's a measure of popularity, at least for PC, it isn't as good as previous years... I mean it's been like 6+ months now and PC hasn't got one single update......

Well I can't complain too much... In the off season we picked up S.Hawes to add some front court depth, the roster is decent enough...

PG: Myself, Nash
SG: Harden, B.Gordon
SF: M.Barnes, Childress
PF: R.Anderson, C.Frye
C: R.Lopez, S.Hawes

I think its because 2k11 was such a massive step up from 2k10 + all the Jordan stuff and people were expecting the same giant leap to 2k12 which didn't happen (I mean, it's pretty hard to have that sort of improvement again).

2k12 also had a bunch of issues with the game after release online and offline and didn't really live up to the expectations people have. Imo, though, the game is def >> 2k11 a this point after it's had a few patches and fixed some stuff up. It's a lot more satisfying to use the advanced controls in 2k11 as opposed to 2k12 where there were more options to cheese. There's still some stupid stuff but 2k11 has a ton of annoying things as well, it's really unavoidable that there are things that will be exploitable or not work 100%

I have no idea why you cannot call for an off-ball screen in MP in 2k12.

Why they took that out I have no idea.

2k11 felt like a more complete game. 2k12 had serious problems that needed patching and it is an extremely frustrating game to play.

To get in the lane you need to pull a behind-the-back dribble, spin layup into an up-and-under move. It's very repetitive and annoying.

Fun game, but while I was playing 2k11 every day I find I need a few days break in between goes of 2k12 because its so frustrating.

The Lockout. That's the main reason that it's had way less attention and sales. Who was interested in a game with old rosters when they could just play 2k11? 2k12 has lots of new stuff which is great but for months the game was pretty boring without rookies and new signings etc. It's decent now.

2k11 was a massive step up.
Things not seen in games.
Myplayer was amazing as it had never really been done that way before.

The Jordan stuff was awesome, making you live out moments of famous games.

2k12 is basicly the same as 2k11 so there isnt any wow thats cool moments as we saw it all last year.
The greatest mode this year replacing Jordan mode is dull an boring its just old classic team vs other old classic team.
Not reliving any great moments its just another normal game but with fancy camera edits to make it match the era.

An i can set offball screens, call for offball screens pick an rolls etc in 2k12

The up and under move (Earl Boykins can do an unstoppable up and under ffs) and the My Player hot zones are the main reason why I stopped playing NBA 2K12.

Just too frustrating.

I don't understand why Boykins is still playing in 2K12. Didn't think he got a new contract this season?
