Managed to squeak past the Griz today. 14-6 free throw count in the last quarter, multiple Griz offensive fouls, a successful Lakers challenge, an unsuccessful Memphis challenge, and a tech called on Taylor Jenkins.

Probably wouldn't crack their top 20 controversial wins of the season.

Hmmmm.

The NBA also released its Last Two Minute Report for the Lakers-Grizzlies game on Saturday. There were three incorrect calls identified and they all worked in the Lakers' favor.

With 1:42 remaining and the Lakers up 117-116, the league said that James should have been called for a traveling violation for switching his pivot foot after picking up his dribble in the center of the court above the 3-point line. That possession ended with a missed jump shot from Davis with 1:33 left.

With 47.7 seconds left and the Lakers down 118-117, the NBA deemed that James switched his pivot foot again after faking a pass to Rui Hachimura before driving to the hoop for a go-ahead score with 44.3 seconds left. And with 12.2 seconds remaining, the league's report found that Hachimura should have been called for a shooting foul on the Grizzlies' GG Jackson for initiating contact with his leg when Jackson was attempting a shot near the basket.

The report said that the technical foul that Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins was assessed for arguing the non-call on Jackson with 5.2 seconds left after calling timeout was correct because of "unsportsmanlike" behavior.

I have no concerns about our game tomorrow. None.

So Warriors need to win, Pels need to beat the Lakers and Sac need to lose to Portland.

To be fair travels never get called in the NBA.

They go through phases, but they're really inconsistent.

They had a big emphasis on carries early in the season and last season but it seemed like they were only targeting some specific players - Jordan Poole was one. But others they let go completely.

Travelling they miss an awful lot of. LeBron actually does it a lot too.

The Knicks confirm what we’ve known all season 2nd best side in the East 😉

Props to the OKC Thunder. Amazing effort for a team that had Westbrook, KD and Harden all leave.

Traded Paul George in for nothing then fleeced the Clippers on the way out. SGA was probably steak knives to go with the draft assets. Fair to say OKC won that trade.

And boy, looking at the list of incoming future draft assets they still have ...

As a Suns fan, today was a good day.
You'd be feeling pretty good about that first round matchup. Almost worst case scenario for us - a terrible matchup at the best of times, but fresh off two absolute smashings too.

But realistically, if we're legit, it shouldn't matter.

You must be thinking surely Beal doesnt go nuts like that again

Not going to lie, no series in the West is easy, but if I was choosing an opponent based on the season thus far, you guys would be it. Game 1 is pivotal. You guys win and we lose any psychological advantage we have. Just glad to be out of the play in after a most brutal stretch of games to finish the season

Probably not, but we've not beaten them this season (and not really looked like it). One of those losses was with Beal going crazy, one was with him being serviceable, and one was without him.

Suns are no chance against either Oklahoma or the Clippers. 5 or 6 game series.
Rest of the series are pretty much 50/50. Even against the Nuggets.

Boston or Philidelphia to win the east. Other teams wasting their time rocking up.
