that is odd. can you post some examples of this?

josh smith is a known cancer. there was no one happier in his game 6 than me (and maybe Drumroe). however, houston fans were bagging him all season

first hit off google

bleacher had us @ 7 post fee agency

The Rockets already had one of the shallowest benches in the NBA, and losing Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik for what essentially amounts to nothing isn't going to help with that.

Ah Skip, he will never let you down.. Consistent as always.. I think he still believes LeBron is hopeless in last quarters

He actually tried to debate the Jordan at current age would beat LBJ thing too just going off recent lels.

He's a well accomplished troll/diagnosed re-**** with quite a few topics :D

Brutal for the Clips.

Game 6 will now go down as one of the biggest chokes in the NBA. Once again they can't get the job done when it matters most.

CP and BG the only untouchables, blow up the rest

if jordan doesn't sign back with the clips, their completely skrewed.

Congrats to Houston, it presents a really interesting matchup with the Warriors.

Curry's going to get his, and to a large extent how GSW depends on him. Currently Houstons starting backcourt is Beard/Harden with Brewer and Pablo off the bench. If the Jet or Pablo are on Curry they will get destroyed. Alternatively they can go Brewer on Curry to try and take advantage of his reach and use Harden as more of a defacto point guard on the offensive end, which they generally do anyway.

However, its a really intriguing matchup at the other spots. Klay will have his hands full, as you'd expect they can throw Brewer/Ariza at him defensively. Likewise the Warriors can throw Iggy at Harden and use Klay or even Green on him sparingly as needed. The Dubs really need Klay to have a good series imo.

The 3 spot is a mix and match with the 2 for matchups. Ariza and Iggy are nominally the 3's, along with Harrison Barnes, but probably wont ever defend each other. Ariza hitting his open looks is such a key for Houston, the last 3 games he's found his range again after struggling earlier in the playoffs

Does Green play the 4? Its not as big an issue in this series as he can easily match up on Smoove or Jones, giving up less height, and neither have the post game of a ZBo or Gasol. Then again you can say the same going the other way for Houston, or ultimately they could go super small with Ariza at the 4.

Obviously Houston have the advantage at the 5 with D12 on Bogut. There will be stretches when the officials call it tight and Bogut gets in foul trouble. The Dubs could try to pinch time with Green on him in patches and go super small to stretch Houstons defence

Shaun Livingstons the wild card for the Warriors for me. He can provide a decent presence in the post against the Rockets second lineup, especially if they try to use Jet or Pablo on him. Also, one to watch is Ezeli. Against Howard he can provide some reasonable defence, especially when Bogut gets in foul trouble, or inevitably... gets injured

The key for Houston imo is Smith. Can he continue his late season renaissance and replicate his Game 6 and 7 shooting efficiency. Can he keep his head in the game defensively?

Honestly for me the Warriors have 2 clear advantages, at the point and on the bench, whilst the Rockets have the advantage at the 5. Sure i can make a case for Houston winning games, if Curry/Klay aren't hitting, and a combination of foul trouble for Green and Bogut will cause the Warriors fits in particular. Beard and Ariza are going to have to play 40 plus for the Rockets in every game, and with the short turnaround to Game 1 and no more than a days rest between games thats advantage to GSW for me.

You could have summed this up easily with just this:

Westy just comes in on the wagon with the straight up, being defended by Kirk, like disrespect.

he's just mad that the bulls are watching from the sofa :D

haha wow the lack of respect for houston is mind boggling. The Warriors may well win comfortably, but to say we are without a chance is just plain wrong.

Man, really feel sorry for the Clippers.

Yeah they choked, I guess anytime you give up a 3-1 series lead it has to be considered as such, but just in regards to game 6 - sure they were up by 19 in the 3rd but its not like they dominated the game for any meaningful stretch, that 19 point buffer was built in an insane 3 or 4 minute run where they could literally do no wrong, Blake hitting circus shots and DJ blocking everything in sight. Apart from that few minutes games was pretty even, then Houston pull out a run of their own thanks largely to JSmoove - and who in their right mind would have tipped that.

The best thing about all the results in the last few series is that we are going to have someone 'new' & refreshing to the league hoisting the Larry O'Brien.

:thumbsu:

Houston winning it sort of ruined it though. They won in the 90s. If LAC get through, then you need to go back to the 70s for a previous champion.

90's is long enough for me.

Respect the Spurs but give it a rest :D

I think you'll find westy is just taking the piss.... And is firmly entrenched on the warriors bandwagon (and has been for a year)

Game 1 is a write off IMO, sure go for the win, but if it gets out of hand don't be afraid to go to the bench late.

Game 2 is the one for Houston to really target.

I'd like to see a lot of brewer on curry

Of course they are a chance. Most people still see them a level below the Warriors though, which is reasonable.

Yeah no doubt, they are favourites 100%. Ive got them in 6.

Agree with this, i want us to put Ariza onto Curry a lot also, and maybe have brewer chasing Klay around screens.

If the Warriors win both the games on their home court i rekon we are toast

Those Houston wins was when Jordan was playing baseball.... They firmly have a * next to them ;)
