Great comeback SEMP, Cook 29 & Brown 23 including a handful of critical 3's to pummel the Kings in the last half. Looking forward to the season.

While Perth have condemned the tweet, they have not stood him down, which is disappointing.

I see Webster has issued a ‘Sorry not sorry’ response and shut off his social media. Coward.

The Perth v Adelaide pre-season Blitz game may be interesting as a result.

Perth have stood Webster down now

Somewhat but less subtle then Israels comments were if that makes sense.

Folau was quoting his own priest. Webster isnt but I know both Websters have different upbringings that way lets say. Neither of them are exactly switched on or people with normal beliefs.
I cant see any link between religion and the comments. But happy to hear your thoughts about the websters past and the normal beliefs

C-Web update

Basketball Australia
Basketball Australia has investigated the recent breach of its National Integrity Framework by Perth Wildcats player Corey Webster. Corey Webster breached the Basketball Australia Code of Conduct for elite-level players pertaining to discrimination and vilification. Following the investigation, Basketball Australia imposed a two-game sanction, which was accepted by Corey Webster. One game has already been served by virtue of Perth’s decision to stand him down on 19 September, and the second is suspended, whereby any future breach by Corey Webster will result in an automatic one-game ban. In reaching the decision, Basketball Australia acknowledges the deep remorse shown by Corey Webster, along with a commitment to undertaking further diversity and inclusion training, and a commitment to donating to charitable organisations. Basketball Australia also commends the Perth Wildcats and the NBL on their pro-active approach to addressing this matter.

Cats
The Perth Wildcats and player Corey Webster have accepted Basketball Australia’s decision and supported sanction for a Code of Conduct breach.
The Wildcats stood Webster down for Tuesday's NBL Blitz win over Adelaide after both parties agreed it was the appropriate decision to make.
We will continue to work with Webster and the entire organisation on inclusiveness and diversity education.

Oh no, he missed a Blitz game, National Basketball Lettuce Leaf.
Haha, I'm kinda with you in theory, but given how weak the league has been on this stuff previously it probably wouldn't be right to suddenly get super tough on this now.

Didn't see much of the rest, but enjoyed what the Cats dished out in these games.
Appetite is officially whet for Friday week in the jungle.
Pinder, Henshall, Usher & Sarr are a very promising quartet of additions. Throw Okwera in there as well and our depth is looking nice this season.

And still waiting to see who fills our final import spot...

Will Henshall be better than Travers?

The answer is yes BTW ;)

Nothing but love for Luke and I hope he gets over the hump to that next level.
But yeah, Henshall really looks like a natural baller out there, certainly more at home than Luke with ball in hand in creative mode.
I don't catch much junior ball so this preseason is the first I've really seen of him, and I'm loving him so far.

Bit worrying that they're still looking for the final import this late.
Basically looking for leftovers at this point.
Coach John Rillie remains on the hunt for Perth's third import but is unsure if the search will be complete by 9:30pm AEST on Friday, when the ball is tipped off between the Wildcats and JackJumpers.

“The clock is winding down on that. It would be a Hail Mary or a miracle,” Rillie told The West Australian.

“But we are in a good groove of playing well so we need to find out who the right person is to add to this group. This time of the year, everyone is starting around the world so the quality of player isn’t right there, right now.
