LAB 1,

I will have a crack this year - its a great way to be involved with all sides and interests for ACT/NSW - QLD/NT Footy.

My tips for Round 1.

Aspley - in a tight one now due to the rain and they have no travel and the home game advantage.
Ainslie - interesting game as new recruits will have a big bearing on this game for both sides & home game advantage will be telling.
Southport - again in a tight one, Suns lead up form is scratchy for mine and the weather brings them closer.
GWS Giants - in a thriller - going on reports by the Southern boys read on this site but NT will be no push overs at home.
Swans - by plenty rain or shine, Lions look out of sorts in all practice matches this year.

The Bye might be the winner for all sides not playing - with 1 extra week to fine tune their lists.

Drawing a long bow there aren't you?

Interesting on the coaching setup though, anyone she'd any light on this decision?
Pretty simple succession planning really.

I haven't spoken to him personally about his long term plans, but I know Klemke has strong family ties and a large family property to return to one day. Either of these are likely to draw him back home after any of the upcoming seasons. So the appointment of Bryce as co-coach is simply planning for the future.

The arrangement is working very well. They are great mates who've sat together to determine this year's game plan, strategies and set plays. They share the workload at training during the week, and because they are both playing coaches they are supported on match day (and during training) by the Reserves coach, match day assistants, and line coaches.

Nothing sinister in the arrangement, the club is just ensuring continuity into the future.

I will have a go...

Aspley - the team to beat based purely on the small turnover of players
Ainslie - no confidence in this tip as Hills have recruited northern Neafl players, home ground adv.
Sharks - at home, will fly out of the box
Thunder - at home and a cyclone will probably hit around half time!
Swans.....
