Tipping Panthers and NT.

No use speculating about the venue of Superbowl as it will prob be changed last minute. Both clubs will be on drink all week, both teams should meet at pub and have drinking games.Last man standing = superbowl winner

good point. i see clubs taking their league gf much more seriously. Could end up swans reserves v thunder atm. Neutral venue though means no one goes to watch.

Tungatalum dropped for disciplinary reasons, anyone know why? Hurts his draft prospects big time.

Suns to lose easy tomorrow, they wont want to win with the bulk of the squad going on holidays after this week.

Maurie or anyone that saw the Suns vs Mt. Gravatt on Sunday, what are your thoughts on the result. Suns 3 goals up at half time, and then belted. Was it that the Vultures just broke open the game or do you think the Suns gave up/tanked as some people have said.

Ok looks like the suns got blown away this week in the third quarter again. Will we again see the same disrespectful comments being made about the opposition again. Give a bit of credit to the blokes out there going hard at the footy for a change. Stop hiding behind 'what other people are saying'.

Dont understand those comments Mondays E-19, either you have socks and pull them up, or you dont have socks so cant pull them up, or you have and you can but are not allowed too.

I did not watch the game today, but last week after being 3 goals in front at half time, for full time football players their disposal after half time was pathetic - granted they had some top up players but it was mostly the listed players who were the culprits. They would have struggled to beat most NEAFL reserve sides on their second half performance

I feel sorry for the boys who have worked really hard all year and who are playing for a spot in the team next year (after their performance in the finals lots of them will go) as on paper this team should be better than what they have shown us, as I suspected all along straight sets losses for the Suns - I think the only time we will see them go deep into the NEAFL finals is when their senior side makes them at the AFL level, but the question is how many players are they going to burn until then?

Is it the coaches or the players? we will never know. These same coaches will be their next year but I feel there will be a lot of new faces on their reserves list.

Siders up about 41-35 @ Half Time.

Most were aware that the Suns trip away is next weekend, so there was no chance of them winning. Treat the comp with contempt. I feel for Broadbeach and others. Well done to Morningside though.

i thought it was an ordinary game of footy today. a bit flat. i think we will see tonight vultures are a really big threat and last week was the start of something big or it was just the suns tanking. i don't think the clubs are too impressed with whats been happening here with the suns

Panthers top 3 for 9 years in a row.Top effort in this day and age.

Chikka, yes an extraordinary effort.Top 3 for 9 years......Whilst iam a Broadbeach supporter, I have a bit to do with the Panthers, as Iam in a senior management position with Downtown Toyota, whom are the Panthers major sponsor and have been for a number of years.Attended the past players luncheon a few weeks ago where Greg Ritchie and Tom Hafey were guest speakers. Was a good event. Will be at the breakfast event on sept 14th where the guest speaker is Leigh Mathews, looking forward to this.
Todays match,.... I thought bell and sheldon were hot, lillico showing his finals experience is invaluable, and as I said a few weeks ago, Abbey, is just an exceptional overhead mark. Good luck next week.

Top sponsor.Sorry I drive a Ford.Close game up in Darwin.Point to difference at half time

I see the Thunder won by 34 points in front of close to 5000 spectators.Eweing booted 8.geez great performance. Mt Gravatt vs Morningside next Sunday in prelim.I think Morningside will win this . And if they do, they will be a good chance to win the flag as they shut Thunder down a few weeks ago at Esplen oval . Coach Blair has their game plan worked out,not to say it will be enough to beat the Thunder.Regardless it will take a huge effort by Morningside or Mt Gravatt to beat the Thunder. just want to see a qld side wim the comp.

Thunder all over it, and some great articles both about football and thunder related community work. Seems Tungatalum was dropped for skipping work on wednesday. Hope the Thunder can win this comp, they win it captures the attention of an entire territory/state, siders or vultures win, it means celebration for a few hundred ppl max.

yeah, good point bballscout. I know iam being bias for a qld side to win the comp. but u r right, there is a huge promotion/dedication in all football areas in darwin for the Thunder..... that is a great attitude and shows what a footy club can mean/beneifit to a community.
