To all the blokes that commented on Eagle this week, well he kicked 11 today against Labrador.
Rumours are down south that Big Jason Eagle will play in the Goulburn Valley League this Saturday, surely Broady wouldn't be silly enough to risk their key forward playing in a 'one off' game.

Don't see a problem with this as he will get one of those dont get a touch games out of the way - it could be a good thing for the Cats, he might come back and kick another 11 against Aspley

Must say that Labradors Todd Grayson is one good footballer. I see he is still only 20 years of age and in my opinion should be on the Suns or Lions list, even as a rookie.

Agreed, only thing that lets him down is his inconsistent kicking. If he can improve that, no reason he won't get picked up with 18 clubs now.

broadbeach have the bye and if he is playing down there it will be on permit
Just read the GVL forum and there are posts saying Eagle is returning to Shepparton United this season.(before the june 30th deadline for clearances)Dont know anything about this,... maybe 2010 Premier or Staminade can enlighten us about these rumours.

Have heard the same thing, fair chance if cleared they won't see him again. United will throw everything at him

Reckon theres a reasonable chance a Club wouldnt allow him to play unless he was coming back.....
Maurie, correct. I spoke to Cats coach Matt Angus late today and he advised they authorised Eagle to play the one off game some 2 weeks ago. Eagle has a one off job(workwise) to complete down in Melbourne thus wanting to play a one off game with his former club, whilst the Cats have a bye this weekend.

One of the locals down this way says he's likely to play out the whole year down here if United win and Broady lose next week?

Unfort back from overseas holiday.Missed a good all in fight Sundays game Aspley and Panthers.Might be interesting viewing by all reports.
Tips as follows.
Labrador to tall and will want to celebrate M.Clarkes 150th in style.
Lions only getting stronger with Polec and Cornelius dropped. Can cover Retzlaffs injury.Southport will give it a shake though.
Morningside.Panthers love to travel and play and Redlands is very close to Tasmania.
Assume Lions,NT and Southport are assured of finals positions already.Battle for last 2 spots will be interesting.

THIS WEEKS TIPS
Labrador
Brisbane Lions
Redland

Good to see you back Chikka - the boys in the AFLQ office must have lost the DVD (or the facilities to play it on) from last Sundays game, as from all reports (pardon the pun) there was only 1 in the book - there should have been at least 5 from where I saw the incident, one of the biggest punch on for a few years - not good for the image of our game to go to the footy on a Sunday and end up being at a ring side event with a very healthy attendance on the side lines. Panthers lost the fight and the game but only just on both counts.
