To be fair, he wasn't that bad a pick in the draft. Not that Ned is any good, but there were very few good players who came after him aside from father sons and academy members.

Glenelg would have taken him but we have a salary cap and after all the guns we acquired there was no money left

I was as frustrated as anyone with his on field performances and continual selection the past 3 years, however he clearly has a very good head on his shoulders and has sorted himself out for life after footy nicely.
Would not surprise me if he turns out to be a very good coach and ends up back in the AFL system. As Fagan has proved it’s a myth you have to have a successful playing career to be a successful coach.

He was approached by both PAOC and Uni; both with the networks to help his media and media production career.
He’s more focussed on that than the time required for SANFL.
