31 and had 9 games in 2 seasons, his body won't hold up unfortunately, thought he was a decent footballer

One of those players that could never get their body right. Had all the potential to be a pure gun forward. At 31 no point pushing it. More to life than footy. Every time injuries occur your body reduces its capacity to heal.

His tackling was not actually that good either. Would go in a million miles an hour but had average technique and would often get stepped or just bounce off a bigger opponent.

Like I said to an AFL player yesterday I was having lunch with, sadly Ned can't football.
His response was he is a good fisherman though. My reply yes I'd go fishing with him.
I asked if he reads this website to which he replied I don't care what nuffies think so that would be a no.

Any word on Ned playing SANFL? i think if the Bays sign me like most will lose the plot and get triggered. I swear Glenelg has no salary cap or they are doing the old brown paper bag trick. Lyons and Parnell already signed along with a stacked list.

Just heard his fishing show in the car, for the first time. He was very good.
Rumour I’ve heard is that he’s keener on focussing on media production work and his burgeoning media career and possibly play in the Adelaide Footy League.
Believe he has been spoken to by several clubs.
It's amazing how much more instantly likeable Ned is now that he's no longer on our list!

He was always likeable, just wasn't as good at football as many had hoped. Not his fault we picked him, good luck to him I say, and I hope he stays in contact with the club, would be good for social get togethers.
