What a load of crap... Vossy can't be a scapegoat for our crap list. The Umps have killed us in 2 of our games at the Gabba this season ffs. Vossy deserves some respect so pull your head out of your ar$e and show it to him.

It hasn't just been this game. Games we should have won and have lost due to a lack of discipline. Umps did rob us but we were absolutely horrible.

The problem for Voss is that the same old things keep happenning:
- smashed in clearances
- poor skill errors
- inconsistency through games and quarters.
Vossy has been my hero as a player but I'm starting to question whether he is the man to take us forward.
This is the darkest hour of our history. That first half was an absolute disgrace.

You've got no idea who you're talking to. Bossy is a legend in our household. My son adores him.
The umpires don't cost you 5/6-zip and voss picked the spuds that are now playing Casey fields and sydney and Carlton so don't give me that crap. Welcome back to fitzroy when we were on the way out, what's the future for Brisbane now?

I've defended him until now. I've had it. If they don't sack him, I'm not renewing my membership next year.
I've never in my life been more angry at my club. I saw some tough years at Fitzroy but the players in 1996 had more balls than the 2011 brisbane lions.

Maybe the Brisbane Lions could merge with Fitzroy Football Club and play in the VAFA next year.
At least they would be playing in a fair dinkum football jumper and the standard of football would suit them, although a few players might struggle to get a game.

I was joking, I know he won't go. And the last thing we need to do is get another coach who has been an assistant coach about a year. Need a coach that has been an assistant coach for a while or maybe even a former coach.

For a few minutes after the siren I may have agreed. We may be 0 - 6 but we have only been flogged once, I believe we are not far away from turning it around, once Brown comes back he will have an effect on the whole side and we will be winning more than we lose, call me an optimist, the loss is very frustrating but sacking him wouldn't achieve anything if you ask me.

But the losses were to teams that we should've beaten, that's the thing that really annoys me. Maybe we should get Spud Frawley to coach us. Bring a bit of grunt in.

Same thing was said of Worsfold this time last year, when a proud club finished dead last.
Take the year as it happens, and pursue with Vossy.....cant get any worse.

He won't leave. He has been around too long and is too professional to walk out because you are having a lean period.

How can someone who has done nothing but made the club worse deserve respect. I respected him as a player but as a coach he has shown week after week his ineptness in areas of tactics and gameday matchups.
Whilst the players must buck the blame, Voss is the ultimate decider on the lineup and matchups. Tonight showed that he has no idea what he is doing right from the word go. Putting someone who is playing career best backline footy in the forward line. Refusing to play man on man instead playing a zone which leaked goals all night. Playing Tom Collier who is the most useless spud to ever kit up for us since the bears days. Not only that our players played behind all night and have zero confidence 1 on 1.

Correct. Only belted once by a side struggling to win a game. Then throw in a loss to a bunch of kids and losses to other sides that are really not much good (Melbourne and Richmond). I've defended him and also said that "sacking him will do no good". But now I'm of the opinion that the entire coaching staff needs to be cleared out. The same things have been happening dating back to Mathews last few years. Our midfield has consistantly been beating and whilst we have a number of promising youngsters in there, they lack speed. We constantly turn the ball over which cost us dearly each week. Fletcher has been there a long time now and I'm yet to see any improvements in his area. Voss has to be questioned. The bloke is hardly a "scapegoat" when his decisions are the things costing us badly. Poor recruiting, poor game day decisions (Merritt up forward for a half, for one) and has really shown no signs of improving the place.
However I wouldn't replace Voss with an untried coach. The place needs a former coach (Roos, Laidley, Williams etc) to come in and clear the coaching staff out.

As to Vossy. Wally Lewis was a legend. And his players loved him. But not a coaches arse.
