Could the club get a townhosue or two in the development? Temporary accommodation for new players/coaches/staff.

Certainly not a priority but could be handy, not worth the money?

way too early but not a terrible idea at all

couple of kitted-out townhouses or better yet apartments, real close to the ground

the endless are possibilities

P

i don’t understand why any of that sh*t needs to be kept? There is nothing grand about it.
Demolish the lot and use the area properly I say

Because the 140 year old stone buildings have been heritage listed as a surviving example of a part of the history of the colony of Adelaide.

All the 20th century tin and red brick sheds and annexes are gone.

Could be handy for the next player who loses their licence due to drink driving.

Per the master plan for the area there's certainly room for us to develop and sell an apartment complex in the southern corner, but you'd have to abandon the possibility of having a second oval - which I think the club has already done, drawn by the idea of selling apartments to cover remediation costs.

As an aside looking at that plan in the tiny part of the parklands you have a soccer club, a cafe and golf course.

But but but no Footy Club allowed in the parklands on an existing footprint.

Bloody North Adelaide Numpties, hope their pool gets a hole.

I prefer this location over the Aquatic centre.

Just looking around the area, I see there's a pub straight across the road (Gaslight Tavern), it looks rather small but I wonder if it will ever be on the club's radar to consider making an offer to buy it and turning it into a club venue for the supporters.

I once drove past there and there was a dude sitting with a sex doll. Its a very basic pub, I don't think this would be on the radar at all.

It's not so much of what it is now, but more what it could be potentially turned into.

The site is already zoned, has a gaming license and alcohol license so the club could essentially redevelop/renovate the site and turn it into whatever they want it to be.

It's a State Heritage Place.

There are considerable limits with what can be done with that pub.

Probably not, likely just isn't worth the money to do so.

I've been there a few times, and it's an odd place. Memorable in its own way.

What’s the fine for knocking down a heritage building?
Asking for a friend.
Why the dislike? Architects will blend the old and the new together and there are heaps of options for their use. Granted a chimney doesn't have much use but its not like its using heaps of real estate and it is in the back corner

if anyone could be bothered developing it (unlikely given the Boampton and the Excelsior and the Gov so close) All they would need to do is keep the shell and do everything else which is what seems to have been done to pretty much every other pub/historical place in the city.

given the size of the block, you could do a pretty nice redevelopment if someone wanted to blow their cash (or had a clientele they knew were coming!!)

No dislike, Just went past the other day and things looked scattered and not really in useful locations.
