I don't know whether to laugh or cry. At least Twitter guy is earning his keep.

I look forward to hearing that he's been installed as our defensive coach.

Bailey chose Crows over Port specifically for RESOURCES
So port was well resourced enough for him to be assistant with us prior, and therefore gain a senior coaching position, but not now..??glad to see he's appreciative of the club which gave him the opportunity! They can have him !

After the inevitable mention of Arizona and Collingwood, he gave another example of Carlton spending up big to go to some high altitude thingy in Dubai in the off season. It sounded like he was heavily sold the opportunity by Triggy to look for new ways of doing Stuff both game trends and off field "innovations" with the promise of being able to actually do Stuff (along with an assistant match day role with their midfield and a mentoring role with their other ACs). We'll see how the spending part works out for him once Leigh hears about it.

I got the sense that for Dean, going back to Port in its current on and off field position would have been like going through all the pain again of going to the Demons in the first place. Let me stress this is my reading between the lines and not something Dean, Wrinkles or Stupid said or even implied in anything they said.

Frankly it sounds a bit of a cushy lead-up retirement spot for him to me.

That's what I thought. Conferences and think tanks for a couple of years.

I'm starting to really worry about this. I thought at least we could get Bailey back. Seriously, I thought we got our big fat cheque from Andy D for this, and we can't even buy anyone with that.

Surely we have to go hard after Watters if he doesn't get the Saints job. We need to fix our defence asap.

What about Bassett. Is there any chance he was putting off making any decisions until after their finals campaign was over?

And if Ling retires from Geelong we should go strongly after him. I reckon he could offer a lot of IP plus leadership and development to our mids.

With what's left I would like Ling (if he retires) for our midfield, Watters or Basset for defence and Harvey for Senior Assistant (lets spend this cheque!).

Any one of these 4 would be a good start, all of'em would be a ****ing miracle!

Don't rate Harvey, and after the Freo experience I reckon he will be firmly wedged in Melbourne for the rest of his life.

I wouldn't mind - Watters, Ayres and Andy Collins or a young just retired gun.

I am surprised that Lade hasn't been mentioned - maybe the Cornes factor is keeping him away which would be another dagger in our heart.

Apparently one of the perks for Walsh, in addition to many more $ than we could pay, is entry and payment for a degree at Harvard - obviously not a fulltime one.

Coaches EXACTLY like Craigys failed game-plan... DO. NOT. WANT.

So much so, that it took less than a quarter for two SANFL Crow-aligned players to work out Norwood's stoppage set-ups last year. They were even using the same code words for designated areas that the ruck was hitting the ball to.

the tide is turning...
Brad ebert has requested a trade to port Adelaide...on the pafc website...
Screw it, Spend the cash on players, not has been hack coaches who were only good because of a great senior coach in williams..! You will Always regret saying no to our great club! Enjoy corporate crows bailey...Hahahahha..!

If Lade comes to Port as an assistant, that is putting a cap on his career; he won't get a senior job after that.

Why - he wouldn't be considered post-Primus?

OK, if Primus doesn't work out, then the chances of us hiring from within our decrepit house of inbred opportunity are precisely zero. Additionally, anyone associated with that regime will look unappealing to clubs from outside.

Lade needs to get at a contender club ASAP if he's serious about being an AFL senior coach; maybe suck up to whoever St Kilda take on, or maybe Nathan Buckley.

Only if your assuming we,ll be shit for years to come!
He'll be put in the same bucket as a guy like Sumich regardless...too long as an assistant, and its hard to tell if he's at his `home' club for this long due to talent or nepotism.

Funny, I would've thought an extended tenure as assistant coach at Richmond would have the exact same result.

Who says he'll stay at Richmond? He's lucky enough to be in a city with 9 other potential employers.

Would love Lade back, I've heard from people close to him that he would love to return home to Alberton. Don't think it will be for a few years though
