NJPW 53rd Anniversary notes:

ELP retained the NJPW TV Title vs Master Wato in an Open Challenge.

Bad Luck Fale and Chase Owens beat Hartley Jackson and Ryohei Oiwa.

Sanada, Taiji Ishimori and Gedo beat Taichi, Taka Michinoku and Yuya Uemura in a 6 man tag by DQ when Sanada conned the ref into thinking he got hit with a guitar by Uemura.

Ren Narita and Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs Drilla Moloney and Gabe Kidd had a double-countout. They pretty much brawled in the crowd the whole time.

Shingo Takagi, Naito, Yota Tsuji and Hiromu Takahashi beat EVIL, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and Dick Togo in an 8 man tag.

El Desperado retained the IWGP Jr Title vs Francesco Akira.

Goto retained the IWGP World Title vs Tanahashi in the main event.

The ring post broke before the show. The wrestlers cut a bunch of promos and posed to pass the time.

Yuya Uemura beat Sanada in a 1st round match.

EVIL beat Yota Tsuji in a 1st round match via Dick Togo throwing powder in Tsuji's eyes.

Ryohei Oiwa beat Chase Owens in a 1st round match.

Gabe Kidd beat Ren Narita in a 1st round match in the main event. During the match there was a ref bump and The House of Torture interfered, but The War Dogs made the save.

ELP retained the NJPW TV Title vs TJP in an Open Challenge. ELP selling a shoulder problem late in the match. Post-match Great-O-Khan attacked ELP, and challenged him to a TV Title match in the future.

Tanahashi beat Kojima.

Sanada, Bad Luck Fale and Chase Owens beat Taichi, Taka Michinoku and Yuya Uemura in a 6 man tag. Post-match those 3 members of Bullet Club attacked the 3 members of Just 4 Guys, then Tanahashi, Ishii, El Desperado and Yoshi-Hashi made the save and then shook hands with 3 members of Just 4 Guys.

After a 6 man tag. Naito and Hiromu Takahashi decided they'll give an IWGP Heavyweight Tag Title shot to Jeff Cobb and Callum Newman in the future.

David Finlay won the New Japan Cup, beating Shota Umino in the main event.
