Same as last years jumperI feel like this is the best example of what's wrong with the West Coast tri-panel. Also are the sides cut differently this year? The curve makes it messier, and leaves more yellow on one side:
Well, they're Vees, celebrating Hawthorn's rich heritage. What even is the design ?
It's a navy and yellow guernsey. Just don't try to wear colours that clash with navy or yellow and you won't have any problemsI feel like this is the best example of what's wrong with the West Coast tri-panel. The side-panel is disgusting though.
I don't know what you're saying but yesWell, they're Vees, celebrating Hawthorn's rich heritage.
Only they're not Vees.
They're gradient coloured shapes, that are cut off anywhere that would make them into an actual Vee.
And they're not in club colours, but in what I call an American Gold.
Than background is White that fades to Gold, each of the little drips that form a yoke are made up of Gold fading to Brown.
Then there's the shapes that are arranged to trick the eye into thinking they're in some sort of Vee shape, and they're combination of Brown fading to Gold, Gold fading to Brown, and Gold fading to White.
WC played Carlton a year or two back, and wore their home jumper with a yellow stripe on the RH side. I thought awesome, they've finally realised that under the shithouse Subiaco lighting on tv against a dark team (Carlton, Richmond, etc), it's a bloody hard game to watch when they're kicking left to right...but no, it was just a promo jumper...I feel like this is the best example of what's wrong with the West Coast tri-panel. Yes, it leaves a few clubs in a pickle. White works fine - look at WCE vs Adel, Coll, Frem, Geel... - or maybe, just for that one game, you wear a jumper of one block colour that doesn't clash with the WCE tri-panel.What does that leave though?
Blue, black, white, yellow all definitely out. It basically leaves you with either going for a predominately red jumper, or bringing in something like powder blue, cyan, or green. Just an open invitation for some especially ugly clash jumper designs.
All stupid, because the tri panel is an unnecessary design given what's hanging in the WCE closet
