Maybe the high AFL logo is in preparation for a Grand Final birth so the Gand Final logo doesn't come into the G... (or I've got too much time on my hands)
Pretty much every one of your theories in this thread has been wrong so.....

My local team has big fat thick lines that say WBFL in big black writing on both sides, so I think skinny/no lines looks really good compared to my teams humongous stripes on the side.

I loved (and still love) the thick pre 2008 lines with the double piping on some sides.
Or, I'll settle with the above Essendon style with a nice thick straight line and the club logo where it should be on the side.

I am a lunatic

And I was just being silly with the GWs "theory"

Those boots are ******* SLICK.
A direct throw back to the late nineties those ones as you can see in this cringe worthy Puma promo with Plugger somewhere around the 2:50 mark.

I remember Gavin Mitchell in his first year at the Saints had the exact same pair in 1998, as I was running around in the under nines in a slightly less garish black pair.

Did I buy the wrong boots for this year...? Or do these look ok? (They're dark red not fluro red just so you know)

Not really fan of sponsors having enormous logos (looking at you SGIO and Bankwest) but X-Blades need to increase the size of their logo.

Not sure I do either, but it gives people something to compare

I don't like it, not at all - but it does seem to be the way a few are going.
It reminds me of your local amateurs league without them personally.
And Port is even weirder as they were the only ISC team to have sloped lines and now none at all.

Not that I have anything against plain shorts, but shorts are a missed opportunity for clubs to do a bit more with their uniform. The designs are almost always completely generic. Booooo.

I wouldn't mind seeing something cool, like imagine on Port's just having little V's from the jumper making the line, or Freo
