News New Jumpers for 2021

The yellow looks better. Actually looking at the lions guernseys around the 2001-2004 era, their jumper was better and so were their shorts. The blue even seemed to come down on the back a bit more which added more colour too.

Yep, the yoke used to match the front and was definitely my fav of their jumpers. Was the first jumper i bought 04 was the switch to Kooga if i recall and it went a bit downhill after that, although 2010 was the beginning of the dark times

Do we know why classic have zero taper in their footy jumpers? With it slightly baggy, and all bunched up down the bottom, it makes it looks like a basketball singlet to me.

I would say it's because they're still figuring out their style to be honest. They've been doing league jumpers for a few years and seem to be quite versed in those, but a bit lost with AFL. Did you see their E-Com photos for the Lions jerseys from last year? Atrocious!

Sponsorships rarely work that way, it’s the apparel companies that go after the clubs and more often than not it’s just a case of the highest bidder winning.

Surely with Brisbane on the rise they could get a better group of sponsors. They’ve improved from national storage but their logo integration from a jumper design point of view (and also from a brand awareness point of view) always seems poor.

As always money is king. Clubs are unlikely to turn down a lot of money. Amart pays 2 million, and the likes of Kia and vw, among others,were interested in the spot but just weren't willing to take it. It's the same reason 40% of the epl has a gambling sponsor. They also are sponsored by neds, so not sure if it's an improvement.

We were almost back there a few years ago, when we were pulling all stops to get out of Seaford. From memory we lost interest when it became clear that we'd always be second fiddle tenant to Cricket Victoria.

Saw the Nike Collingwood guernsey, and its probably the best quality replica I've ever seen. On another level to most replicas.
Anyway heres the new Crows guernsey next to last years

O'Neills replica quality no better or worse than ISC really - not bad but not great. I suspect that O'Neills is reusing ISC's template for 2021 and will have some new template for 2022.
Was hoping Rebel would have the new Port guernsey in stock for me to scrutinize, but nothing but a lot of the cheapo Sekem ones. No Port Macron stuff for sale anywhere still.

I think that that’s o’neils own template, just very similar to ISC. The collar is much wider and thinner, while you can also see the stitching on the side of the o’neils template unlike ISC.

I quite like the way that the o'neills collar tapers in a bit as it comes around the neck, hopefully will look more traditional v-neck on the players rather than the roundneck look that the isc one had.

The collar on the player edition Thilthorpe was wearing looked nice, looks thinner than the ISC collar.
