Coloured shorts for home white shorts for away - should always be this way
White shorts should be eliminated as much as possible, especially for teams with no white as part of their colour scheme. Should be as much coloured shorts on away teams where visually practicable.

Hopefully the Lions get a new major partner...
I think you're going to get your wish, on the Lions membership page it only shows XL express as a major sponsor.

All I hope is that we have the same sponsor setup for home and away games (just like what Swans, Hawks, Richmond etc. do) instead of alternating for home and away games so should we for example play GWS away we can wear our threepeat winning jumper.

Surely just a temporary sponsor set - 3 years of finals appearances and ever-increasing prime time slots means the Lions should be capable of attracting better major partners than a gym franchise.

Snap came on as a platinum partner in 2019 iirc.
Depends on how much said franchise is willing to pay. If snap is looking to increase its marketshare, especially in Brisbane and Melbourne it's not a bad plot and they would be willing to spend a pretty penny for that right. To be that is an updated logo and with such a deal will involve a want to push hard in its growth.

They already base themselves in Brisbane
Yeah and?

They ignore one side of their heritage whilst pandering to one side.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate acknowledging and paying homage to Fitzroy but there's hardly any Bears acknowledgement.

Yeah. There's absolutely no reason for Essendon to wear white shorts, for example. It's not one of their colours, it doesn't solve any of their clashes, and it actually makes certain matchups a little bit more clashy where previously they weren't at all. They might as well just wear black shorts whenever they aren't wearing a clash jumper.

The Bears as a brand sadly only lasted about 11 years (now less games than the Suns). I mean they did do a bit of it for the reversible training (which is almost perfect imho, just change stitching to a gold colour). But yeah, bring back Bears for Qclash kits I reckon.

Please stop. A team with over 100 years of tradition and generational support who were left to die as opposed to get propped up like many clubs today. Traumatic for many people in a sporting context where footy was/ is their life. Versus a team the equivalent of the suns with no soul in a non football state. The club does a perfectly fine job of honouring both. Arguably they don’t do enough honouring Fitzroy.

Whilst we do wear a kit in the Fitzroy colours, we don't really do much to honour the original Bears at all, and their history is just as traumatic for those of us that grew up loving the Bears brand and then had it taken away from us. Considering what the brand achieved in the short tenure against the odds, it would be awesome if we did a bit more. Unlike the Suns, GWS, Crows, Port and WC, we were setup to essentially fail from their inception, yet somehow still made finals in our final year as Bears.

I would love if we did the Qclash kits (as I've stated before) in Bears colours/an homage to their design-work. I've also proposed we wear the red kit with blue shorts for home games against Essendon and Collingwood in Brisbane as well (maybe even Vic if all agreed), which would be a neat kit vs our traditional rivals.

No, it's really not just as traumatic. It's not even close. You got a new mascot. Fitzroy supporters basically lost everything about their club.

For a kid? Yes it was. My team stopped existing and all of a sudden we had a whole new identity. I recognise that the whole situation hurt Fitzroy fans too, though. Don't forget that it could very easily have been the North Fitzroy Kangaroos and the Lion would have been lost to history
