Other New Patriots Scandal - DeflateGate

Well the NFL is investigating it, it's been confirmed now. I love the way Pats fans get all ultra-defensive the moment anything like this comes up ever since Spygate.

Defensive? There is nothing to defend. Horse shit being made up two weeks consecutively gets annoying. heck their investigation, I look forward to nothing coming of it.

Surely any deflated balls don't get past the officials on the field?

It's yet more bullshit from people who can't handle the fact that the Patriots didn't roll over and die like we were supposed to back in September.

Policing of the balls is surely the job of the match officials, they come into contact with every football that enters the field of play, if they handled a ball and thought it deflated below the allowed limits then surely they do something about it there and then?

I do love how much hysteria surrounds people and their hatred of the Patriots.

Well, the news coming out of league office "sources" is that 11/12 game balls used by the Patriots were supposedly under-inflated by 2 pounds. If there's a reasonable explanation for this, I'd like it to come out sooner than later. If the Patriots have circumvented the rules again, then a loss of draft picks and a significant fine seems appropriate.

I hope whoever conducts the investigation has impounded the Colts' footballs as a comparative means. If their balls have experiencing some sort of warping, I want to know about it. Outside of that, it's indefensible. That said, nobody appears to have an issue with Aaron Rodgers supposedly liking overinflated balls.

NFL has found 11 out of 12 balls were underinflated.
Worth every dollar and every draft pick penalised if they think it gave them an advantage regardless of the fact they would've smacked the Colts regardless.

And I see the Ravens "sources" are immediately out suggesting they thought some balls were underinflated. It's really irrelevant. The Pats were out-worked in general play that night so if balls were underinflated it didn't noticably help then either. It was the trick plays and smart substitutions that won the game that night.

From what I understand the balls were given to the Patriots in a legitimate condition but were later found deflated . The NFL will hate this story but if found to be true, it could get ugly.

NFL has found that 11 of the Patriots footballs used in Sunday’s AFC title game were under-inflated by 2 lbs each, per league sources.
At this point it's one of two scenarios:

1) The Patriots legitimately cheated, or
2) Given the apparent uniform nature of the depression, 11/12 balls experienced a drop in PSI in cold weather conditions.

Graham Gano is over it on Twitter stating the refs check the PSI indoors and not outdoors. For the sake of my fandom, I sincerely hope there is no funny business on the Patriots behalf. If proven to be altering footballs (even though Rodgers has said he likes his overinflated), it's not a good look and the team deserves a fine and a loss of a draft pick.

I'll let the facts play our further before teeing off.

I'm not saying the patriots did anything. Leave the facts to the nfl although after the rice saga who knows what the facts will become
