That alternative Adelaide one is the best.

The current Adelaide logo is just about the worst in the league (equal with Brisbane)

Wow! That alternative crows logo looks amazing!

The alternate tigers one looks good, but would age terribly and look very "old" in about 10 years.

Looks like it is taken straight from microsoft clip art.
If you have an animal as your nickname, you have to give it a football so we don't forget that they football...

They used to have this old logo which was great...

As did Geelong...

We dumped the laurel wreath and club motto, but it's still a great looking logo.
That's terrible.

It almost looks like Ablett's reaction to his contract.

Richmond's present logo should remain. It works, it's actually intimidating.

Brisbane I think went too far with theirs. Fitzroy fans had every right to be annoyed I reckon.

While I agree that they went a bit far with the front on face, the old lion was looking very decrepit (seriously, it just kinda looks like it's buck-toothed and laughing) and was in desperate need of a clean, e.g. the one stupidlikeafox posted.

I think a cleaner version of the current Richmond logo would be better too, the snarling face is great, just fuzzy linework. That said, as far as recent vector animal logos good, the new Tiger is one of the better ones. The non-Collingwood bird logos are particularly awful (including the current West Coast, much prefer our old one). Suns, Crows and Dockers tied worst for me.

I have never liked Richmonds logo, so this is a huge improvement IMO.

There are some shocking logos going around these days. Better alternatives to current ones include:

Geelong_Logo.jpg

Replace the font, and that lions one becomes one of the best in the league, the suns one wasn't too bad either.

As for the linked tiger, I like it, but I like the round look that Richmond have going at the moment, just need to modernise it a little, update the font, maybe tweek the tiger a bit but ii can't really go wrong with a tiger.

Hawthorns old one was tragic, looked cheap as hell.

As for the swans, they've done surprisingly well considering their mascot is a swan, I just thought of this last year, our mascot is a ****en swan for **** sake, how intimidating is that? Lol we're not doin too bad considering

Its a little bit unfair really but we can't lose on the logo and image front. The Tiger being the most beautiful and evocative of animals gives us a readymade fantastic image. The Beautiful Tiger, the famous club song, the idea of our fans being an army etc. All are undeniably powerful in helping to create the image of richmond as in some way attractive and powerful.

Mighty Tigers.....you couldn't buy the power of that image.

Thread is tl;dr, so somebody might have mentioned this, but I'm sure plenty of people would have said that about the lion before, you know...

horrible logo, why must clubs stuff around with classic looks, Collingwood's logo, saints logo, Richmond's logo is a classic,

hate these new "flashy" logos, Adelaide's is horrible so is Brisbane's

maybe its just a matter of taste though

I really like it. It looks sleek, isn't cluttered, stands out, would be easy to stitch onto shirts etc. And there's nothing wrong with changing a logo every now and then.

Unless your new logo is a shameless rip-off of the Baltimore Ravens logo. Drawn by a child. With broken fingers.

It's been over a year, and i'm still no closer to understanding why they couldn't make the crow's beak close properly....

I don't mind it. It keeps a similar look to the old one, just a bit more 'slick' (ie vectors). Be thankful that your club's attempt to modernise its logo has turned out better than our piece of shit.

Agreed. Richmond's new Modern logo is a billion times better than ours. Especially when you whack your new crap logo on a white jumper.
