Despite the fact it looks too much like my club, the clash looks good - I like the fact they have a alternate set of colour shorts to use (ie v Sydney). Would love to see other clubs embrace non-white short options with clash, where possible.

Would love to see WC use peril with blue shorts too.

Though a little confusing they don't use their main colour on the clash at all (why not red instead of blue).

Home could be "fixed" just using the same design as clash, as per memes_about_carlton render

Red on Red is just dumb, logo will get completely lost.

Sun = yellow, Gold = yellow - I dont get why they don't lean into it

They're going for this whole gradient, red-on-red look but have to contend with logos and sponsorships. all you're going to do is notice the massive burrito sponsor on the back, the blue box on the shorts, the yellow New Balance, the stupid strips of colour on the back collar...

****in jesus ****in christ, massive Premier League clubs with billions of pounds have only ever been able to get away with a one-colour, no-sponsor look once or twice. there's just too many restrictions and requirements.

So ****in shithouse.

Best thing about all of this is how bad the Tasmania team is going to look. will be a monstrosity.

This whole thing started when they gave generic names to the two new teams, nicknames that had nothing to do with their place and no clear imagery to attach to it. throw in Gold Coast wearing the same core colours as their established state rivals and the Giants needing to wear a clash against theirs and the whole thing is rooted.

Also this Giants thing needs a discussion. they've now almost completely dropped any 'Greater Western Sydney' branding. rumours were strong that they wanted to play games at the SCG. throw in the shit crowds and these are some of the worst club introductions you could ever have.

Millions and millions poured into them, years of development, massive amounts of state and federal funding. then the A-League drops in a club with two minutes notice and two dollars to their name and can come away with Western Sydney Wanderers and Auckland FC – names people like and that mean something, strong colours that look good on strips and across merchandise, a connection to place...

Though it's not my ideal, they could have really gone for something if they'd actually properly embraced and considered the whole two-tone, heat-of-the-sun, magma thing.

The clash top, front the front, looks like its side panel swirls start the front and end the back: like a graduation.

The home though, they just sort sit there with no integration.

I wouldn't have minded a jumper that's sort of like a marbled, lava lamp look of the two reds swirling into one another; like one big gradient.

Ultimately though that would have been, again, lost with the myriad sponsors and other necessary applications. but it still would have been an alright idea.

Still hoping Tassie go for a 'forest green and Apple Aisle' dark and almost lime green look. the two-tone thing has so much potential. would not mind Freo considering a dual purple look to be honest, could add a bit more personality to the purple and white.

Is it too late for them to revise the design? The guernseys are so bad that i actually feel sorry for them.

Surely the sort of mono option was chosen in lieu of this. It can't not have been raised as an alternative.
