The concept has grown on my slightly.
It would be much better if the logo was either 3D, or perhaps shiny, or a different texture to make it stand out.
The guernsey needs to have some form of yellow/gold I think. They can still own the colour red, just have some contrast.
I still like the idea of golden shoulders, or even keep the golden side panels. Something subtle but still unique.
The piss weak wave things on the sides need to go. Keep it bold colours on the home guernsey otherwise it isn't timeless.

I know there’s the whole “NSW colours for a Queensland team argument” but these really should’ve been the colours from the beginning.
It makes perfect sense when you hear that part of the design brief was that they wanted people to buy the jumper because they thought it was a cool singlet rather than because they knew the team. It's not meant to be a footy jumper, it's meant to be workout apparel, which is exactly how it looks - nondescript and generic. Literally just a singlet with a watermark.

It's not so much the double blues that I'm getting at.
It's the arrangement of the different hues and how the SUNS' preferences seem rather close as opposed to this contrast.

The logo looks out place next to the other 17 clubs logos, I tried to give it some elevation.

It looks like one of those custom logos you'd find while trying create your own franchise in NBA 2K.

I think the logo is ok - just a touch off something that could be really iconic.
The guernsey is a missed opportunity, though - I would have liked to see something that makes use of the gradient in a more creative way ala Portugal's 2014 kit.

Doesn't necessarily mean they'll use it, I guess. Actually looks like the other version without GC has the same font also - maybe these were the original ideas.

Just was having a look at the fixture ahead for Gold Coast, seeing as they already barely wear their clash guernsey.
For this season I'd say they would wear it against:
Melbourne - Round 3
Brisbane - Round 8 (this may be ugly)
St Kilda - Round 11
GWS - Round 15 (this will be very ugly)
They may wear it against Carlton, Adelaide and Port to round out the season but I don't see the small 'clash' like against the others

West Coast ditched the tri panel and went with a navy wing design with the old logo before the rebrand. That lasted two years. That has to be close to being the current record
As far as complete redesigns go for home kits, the Bulldogs and Hawthorn had these for 1 year each back in the 1930s (and the Hawthorn one was a colour reversal of the existing kit rather than something entirely new). Everything else has lasted at least 2+ years.
