Because I have an old Norwood jumper on my mind.

Don't mind the idea.

Red back IMO. Like the Sydney home (white front red back).
Have the "S" line sit flush with the red/yellow crossover.
Yellow to fade into red shorts (ie yellow, gold, orange, red gradient starting about 2/3 into that yellow section on the front).

I will never understand why they didn't stick with the mascots jumper design from the start.

This would have been perfect from day one. I'm more of a fan of the yellow on top I think.

I think yellow on bottom with a fade would differentiate themselves from a lifesaver identity and more suns identity.

I am still not convinced Suns is a marketable nickname going forwards.

Sharks would have been idea from day one (granted Southport would have wanted way too much coin to let their moniker go)

The Gold Coast Warriors is what they should really go with going forwards and try cash on the fame of the Golden State Warriors NBA team.

Their current/new logo and colours just makes them looks like shills for the Shell Petrol/Oil Company

Everything about the Phoenix Suns is more aesthetically pleasing than the Golden State Warriors.

I don’t like the name personally but it’s not really the problem. Phoenix is one of the best brands in the NBA.

I get your point but the Warrios have won 7 NBA championships, Phoenix Suns zilch

Having said that, the Lakers nickname sucks, esp as there is no Lakes in Los Angeles whatsoever and they are the most popular team in US Sports.

After seeing it on Dan Gorringe the jumper design is kinda growing on me. Although it's annoying my OCD that the logo is red on the jumper but gold on the shorts, pick one or the other.

The clash kit is horrendous though and won't solve the clash against GWS either. Should have been a light blue version of the home.

I’ve really come around to the logo. I like that it’s not very trendy, in 10 years time it’ll look the same as it does now.

Also like that it’s an emblem more so than a logo like most teams, there’s not many emblems in the league like it. Carlton’s monogram, GWS’ big G, it’s nice an simple and can be used in any way.

It’s just the absolute failure of the jumper that it’s sadly attached to, has taken all the attention away, and unfortunately the logo is copping it too.

The whole sun over the horizon thing lends itself to an inverse of this design

I suppose so.

How sick does that gradient look.
Boggles my mind they went with what they did.
It boggles the mind how after a decade they've failed to really design a decent jumper despite how much potential they have.

Imagine.

That is probably the most redeeming application of the logo I have seen. Emphasises the shape of a golden sun and some coast/rays, downplays the generic rest of it.

Still don't think it would be impactful on field (squint...all you see is a yellow dot on red) but this is about as good as that fundamental design will get.

Logo front and centre, everything else is red and who cares if the logo gets lost in motion? It doesn't get lost on the thing it's applied to unlike the current one.

Also somewhat resembles a guernsey rather than a phone wallpaper IMO
