For the folk new to American Football, following info could help in finding a team.

Teams which haven't been to a Supabah include:
Browns
Jaguars
Lions
Texans

Teams which haven't won a Lombardi trophy include:
Bills
Bengals
Browns
Cardinals
Chargers
Eagles
Falcons
Panthers
Seahawks
Texans
Titans
Vikings

St Louis are virtually guaranteed success in years to come.

But if I had to start again and choose it would be really hard to go past Detroit, redskins or panthers

Why would it be hard to go past the dirtiest team in the NFL? With the Bears and Packers in the division, I cant see them making the playoffs any time soon!

Megatron is my favourite player outside of Denver, and stafford will be playing for the next 10-15 years so I think they're going to be ok.
Anyway I would say they have a far better chance of climbing their division than the Redskins currently do.

Or....what dirt does primetime have on his friend :D
well he follows teams in MLB and NHL from that area so i told him to stay in that area in the NFL and said that the Raiders would be the best option....... lol

Thinking about following the Bears, what can you guys tell me about them and how they play? Key players, good/bad history etc?

Traditionally a defensive team where the MLB is a bigger star than the qb, and traditionally a smash mouth team with the ball, one of the iconic NFL teams alongside the packers, similar great history, their founder George halas instrumental in creating the very NFL. They have a great history too of some of the best rbs ever. They're old school cool playing outdoors on grass, snow, unlike a lot of pussy teams who play indoors

hear they're going to throw the ball a lot more this year, with brandon marshall in the team.

Smart timing to start adopting DA BEARS!! :thumbsu:

The enigmatic QB Jay Cutler saved his best for my Steelers in early 2009. Razor sharp passing that helped win the game (17-14). Won't be slagging him anytime soon. Had an injury in the 2010 Conf Championship game that many scribes start questioning his mental toughness to play thru pain. Not only does this season see the re-union on the field with star WR Brandon Marshall catching Cutler's passes but QB coach Jeremy Bates (no relation to Norman :p ) hooks up with Cutler from his Bronco days (2006-2008). Johnny Knox (#13) is now a depth player but an exciting player to have on your team (yES!!, he shredded the Steelers that day!!) but look for a rookie named Alshon Jeffery (#17) who is quite prolific end zone threat. A strider moreso than a speed demon. Stands at an imposing 6' 4", more heavier bodied than your usual tall WR, has big hands to become a viable asset in the long run for DA BEARS. Matt Forte, is a credible Top 20 RB in the league. Can be injury prone but when his O-line blocks well, can easily be an instant menace for the opposition.

This BEARs team has every chance to be the surprise packet of the NFC. I correctly predicted the Niners last season to rise from the ashes and I reckon Lovie Smith's men can conjure a 10-11 win campaign to push the PACK for the NFC North title. Should be a cracker dogfight in the division!!

KEY games:
Thursday Night Football (Friday 14th Sept 10.20am AEST) @ Green Bay
Monday Night Football (Tuesday 2nd October 10.20am AEST) @ Dallas
Monday Night Football (Tuesday 23rd October 10.20am AEST) vs Detroit
Sunday Football (Monday 29th October 3.00am AEST) vs Carolina
Monday Night Football (Tuesday 20th November 11.20am AEST) @ San Francisco
Sunday Football (Monday 26th October 4.00am AEST) vs Minnesota
Sunday Football (Monday 16th December 4.00am AEST) vs Green Bay

and the Week 17 clash @ Detroit on the 31st December could well be the game that decides a play-off spot/ Division title.

So there you go ACTHAWK... mouthwatering BEARS FOOTBALL!!

Even the neutral football fan would be happy to watch each of these KEY games. :thumbsu:

Enjoy your first NFL season as a DA BEARS fan. Welcome to our NFL boards btw. :)

If you love it when your favorite breaks your heart year after year after year (ad infinitum), then you should become a fan of the mighty Detroit Lions. Yearly we drink the "they'll have a good season" kool-aid only to be let down again. I just hope last season's success doesn't set us up for another disappointing season.

Unless the madden curse strikes, i'd say the lions were almost certainly going to the playoffs
