A great gig if you're mates with Saleh. There's no accountability in the organisation, from the head coach on downwards. Other teams lose their starting quarterbacks and do what's necessary to be successful. The Jets lose Rodgers four snaps into the season and the coaches and front office collectively throw up their hands and give up on 2023.
Saleh and Douglas should have been fired at the conclusion of the season, but the incompetence starts at the top with the owner, so it's completely unsurprising that the Jets are running it back in 2024 and relying on a 40 year old quarterback recovering from a torn Achilles to lead them into the promised land.

Hackett said in his press conference last week that he didnt know Breece Hall was as good of a pass catcher as he is til about week 11 of this season. Like seriously, did he not watch any tape of Hall's college career and rookie season when he accepted the job? Unbelievable incompetence.

I'm interested to see how this works out for him. Different environment, different coach, and Payton must see some potential in him. I doubt if he'll be their starter, but it might be the beginning of a good second chapter in his career.
