Teams usually fire coaches when their season is done. Not saying the Jets are going to make the playoffs either but its different to the usual being this early.

Should have just done it in the off season rather than now if they were thinking about it

Exactly. But I feel Rodgers wanted his buddy Hackett around and if they brought in a new staff he wouldnt have been.

Doesn't mean we haven't underperformed, should've won at least one of the last 2 games. To be fair it's the offense which is the issue so not sure how much accountability Saleh should have for that but the situation was becoming untenable.

Yeah dont let the 1 game out of first place fool anyone. This team wasn't winning the division with Saleh as HC, there are still the same issues that have gone on the past 3 years (whether or not that changes under Ulbrich who knows). The Jets were fortunate to beat the Titans, if not for a Will Levis meltdown they likely dont.

I thought he wouldn't last long.
I did corporate speaking and healthy speaking at both higher and lower audiences. For many years.
When waiting for my turn at lecturn I heard this fellow speaking I turned to a friend and inquired "who's that" , he informed it was a football coach and my immediate reaction was "he's got no substance and people won't follow him".
My friend said he doubted my observation and prediction.

Refused to shake opponents hands like twice in 6 games this is when he was have won, in press conference thrown his whole offensive line under the bus, Walked off the field 5 minutes early and headed to locker room when before the game he said I rather die trying than quitting.
Always someone else fault for his bad throws or mistakes never takes responsibility for anything unless its good.

Plus his not top tier talent. His got average athleticism, good arm only, holds on to ball way to long doesn't have good pocket awareness, slow release, doesn't step up in pocket when pressured and poor leadership qualities (example throwing his oline under bus in press conference)
