I dunno, the way Rex is talking of late has me fired up for him to come back. Not many/if any people want the Jets job, hes 100% in on the Jets at least. Hiring a first time coach feels like a bad move, need an experienced guy who can motivate the locker room and take charge, Jets players get away with too much shit right now, outside him (Gruden, Vrabel) im not sure anyone would take the job.

Rex's last couple of years with us, and his stint at the Bills, were horrible. He's been out of coaching for a long time now, would feel like a continuation of the neverending circus.
The first couple of years would be a write off while they try to rebuild the list (find a QB), so I can possibly see the merit in bringing him on for that period as a new coach would be on a hiding to nothing anyway. But it would just be the Jetsiest move of all time if they did bring him back I don't know how I could stay invested if it all went to hell again.

As much as I miss the early Rexy days, yeah I would have to agree.
Although, whoever it is, it'll never be worse than the Gase era.

Who could blame him.
I think we should trade Hall as well, ride with Braelon Allen the next few years. Blow it up and see what a new coach/GM can do with the picks (not that I'm confident they'll be any better).

Which positions would you draft with the picks you get for them? Personally, I'd like to keep Wilson, but agree about Hall, a luxury with Allen/Davis.

Build the O-line first, tank next year with Taylor at QB and hope there's a decent QB in the 2026 draft.

If we hire anyone other than Pete Carroll or Mike Vrabel we are stupid. We need someone to come in and set the culture, then worry about the talent etc
