Yeah but the point is that 'soccer' is not a specifically American term. The word 'soccer' is used to refer to soccer in countries where soccer is not the number 1 football code. For example, in Ireland soccer gets called soccer.
 
the thing that i don't think that's been discussed in this thread is that shortly after the sale of foxtel to dazn goes thru, it's likely that the sale of dazn to the pif will go through as dazn itself is in a mountain of debt

not sure a privately owned sports streaming company owned by the saudis cares about advertising; they're not beholden to shareholders

also the talk of afl as the #1 sport is interesting; the numbers posted up thread seem to say that test cricket is just as big a ratings juggernaut in sport in oztraya
