Yep contacted support asking them to cancel my auto renew because of the platform change. Got a reply back an hour later saying that it was done.

yep cancelled mine, only way I will pay $280 a year is if I can successfully co- watch it here in Perth, with my mate on the east coast so we can half the bill

haven't had a single issue doing this for over 3 years, will sit back and see what the reports are like come september but not holding my breath this will be achievable with DaZn

Anyone have access to GamePass subscription numbers?

If this board is anything to go by, a significant drop in renewals might force the NFL to do something before it is too late.
I doubt the NFL care, if they did they would of had a loyalty discount.

Wonder if some of the canceled subs will get a discount email a few weeks into the season.

The paradox is loyalty is only valued when you don’t show it anymore.

Every time I threaten to move my business my service provider offers me something they could have provided before to get me to stay.

Looking at you Foxtel.

True, but they did used to show it with keeping you on old rates.

went through some old emails. 2014 gamepass was $139 AUD. and since then they have not added anything of note and the service never got better. Actually it got worse. Because back then they were on the old platform that let you pick the bitrate of the video rather than being variable based on connection. and that was before they slashed the archives, because on the 2nd platform it went back to 2008, but no preseason games between 08-12

I have no issues playing for things i feel are worth it. but for the local price gamepass hasnt been worth it for a long long time. basically since whenever that season that they jumped the price like 40% was.

I’ve always justified the cost by being able to download the 60 minutes replays and watch them when travelling.

But the response I got yesterday about having to buy an account for every country I want to watch the service in is pure theft. Its not even policy because they provide a portability option for the EU.

I basically need to create an international syndicate of NFL followers and we “share” a login……hmm, now there is an idea.

Anyone want to go halves in an Oz sub and next time they are in Bali I can provide a login for them?

280 for NFL, talk about greed. What are the prices for gamepass equivalents for basketball/etc? What about EPL?
looks like NBA is about $150-200 a year, MLB is $225 a season. NHL is now on WatchESPN so cant find any prices.

So they are all a hit, but for the per game price the NFL is by far alone. the NFL also get between $12-13BN a year from the US TV rights deals from NBC, CBS, FOX, ESPN/ABC, Amazon and Youtube

Services that let you download stuff, but are geoblocked in that country you can normally bypass by downloading before you go, and turning location and data off when watching the stuff in an "offline" mode.

looks like DAZN normal T&S say 5 devices can be registered to an account, and 2 streams at one time. but no clue if they need to be locked the the same IP or not.

if there is no IP tracking restrictions, i might be up for sharing

Kayo $25 a month is so expensive too.

Compare to monthly sub prices for thibgs like D+, Prime, Stan, Netflix, for endless hours of movies/shows.

Streaming services are such a racket.

Watchafl.com the international Aussie Rules service is $40 per month.

You'd probably just get the Packers team sub though.

Its because sport costs so much.
ESPN Get almost $10 a month per subscriber in the US on the Cable/OTT services just for the ESPN networks.

Dont think they even do the team subs. but i would still get full access if i decide to come back.

I just tried watching simultaneously on multiple devices and it works. You can also have I think 5-6 devices logged in.

The problem I’m having though is the app on all devices thinks my internet isn’t strong enough which is false. It well and truly can handle HD content.

I’ve even tried using other peoples network and makes no difference.

Dazn’s support page is useless and says the app can’t use 100% of your speed and you’ll need to up the bandwidth by 100% lol

Also can’t use a vpn either.

See link for more info… www.dazn.com/en-AU/help/articles/how-fast-does-my-internet-need-to-be

Pretty much they say contact your internet provider to figure out the issues.
