I beg to differ.

example:
I don't think if I am following Heidelberg all year and the NFNL have a rule that says he (Wilson) has to play 6 games to qualify for finals that I then go and watch another comp finals to see teams that may have some drop back from VFL?
or
that Lauchie would go and play for another club/comp because they may have a play only 3 games rule for finals. He would be there cheering on the Bergs.

IMO only - 3 games is a little light on - 5-6 games throughout an 18 game H&A season seems more representative of 'qualification' and alignment to a club and/or competition.

It’s the same for all teams, maybe others need to explore these type of options. There is more than one player available I am certain!

3, 4, 6 games doesn’t matter to me, the more VFL and ex AFL players who align with NFNL clubs the better for the whole league imo

Just another Chadwick totally agree
Wilson has played 116 games for the Tigers, goes and plays a higher level but qualifies for Tigers.
Good luck to him.and the Tigers
We want and need these.players in the NFNL.
And if you have a good culture which the Tigers have (from the.outside looking in as have no involvement with tigers) then it drives the players to be partof the 22 come grand final.time
The Tigers have had very strong reserves but haven't seen too many move on. Again testament to the club
So the other nine clubs in division 1 just need to get better to try and stop thos Tigers dynasty

No worries at all and that's the fun of Big Footy - everyone can have a view on things.

Definitely not a knock on HFC - outstanding club and they have worked hard to be the juggernaut they are today, absolutely - was just using Lauchie as the example on this occasion.

I still think that the qualifying number for finals needs to be lifted to truly show that the player 'represented' that club/the comp in that specific year. (Not juniors or previous senior years).

Might actually see 'better' players playing MORE games, not just finals. Would that not be better for the comp and club?

Champ or Chump he has played over 100 games for the club. Why shouldn't he be allowed to come back and play for the Tigers

Do you do it on a sliding scale so if you have only played 20 games for the club minimum is 6 games as an example

I don’t really agree with this.

I’d rather see the blokes who represented the club week in week out play than a bunch of VFL ring ins.

IMO 5 games and no more than 50% of the season in the VFL

He can come back and play for them in finals, provided he plays at least 5 games for them for the year.
Not just him anyone, 3 is too few to qualify someone.
