Huge get for the tigers. Some serious talent in the league this year
Didn’t he play senior games at Banyule.Brayden Sier to Heidelberg
I heard over the weekend Hooker is also going to play the 2nd half of the season for the Bergs.Brayden Sier to Heidelberg
Not true. He is staying in QLD playing at southport. His GF loves in qld so they are going to give it a go there.Townsend delisted by the Suns. Rumour is he will pop up at Bundoora.
“He’s now set to spend more time focusing on his carpentry work”
Correct. Signed with Southport. Not true. He is staying in QLD playing at southport. His GF loves in qld so they are going to give it a go there.
So they have been linked to Astbury, Hooker, Townsend and in the end they ended up with Zaharakis, who I'm hearing may not play the whole year, as he wants to travel.Correct. Signed with Southport.
Probably money, opportunity…. Not every kid wants the commitment of division 1 football. It’s quite enticing for young kids to get guaranteed games and money at a lower placed club. What's going on with Montmorency losing all these talented Kids who have come through their junior program. Grand Finalist in 2015/2016/2017/ Premiership winning side in 2018 U/19s
Left the nest mid season 2021 for Watsonia FC.
JOSH BOULTON senior games in 2021
VAN PAGE cant understand why he was behind a number of blokes at Montmorency struggling to get a senior gig. Watsonia FC would be rubbing there hands together rumour has it another favourite son is heading to the saints hard as nails and would run through a brick wall to get the pill. Struggling to think of someone at the club who would do that.
Another two have left the Nest at Para Road and landed at the Burras nest and I'm sure they are being welcomed with open arms.
HUGE GET BY ST MARYS
VINNY LOCCISANO massive loss to Monty after having a break out season in the seniors this year, JAC COSTA another talented junior with pace to burn heading to St Mary's.
From the junior program leaves
Bedrac, Mills both players played a majority at St Mary's juniors and played the final 2 years of their juniors at Montmorency so it will be interesting to see how long till they return HOME.......
Uzelac Banyule Juniors/Montmorency
Murphy Diamond Creek/Montmorency
Gillard Only home grown player. JET!!!!
Something is happening at the club and it just might be time the club gets their head out of the sand, before they lose more.
It’s a common result of strong junior programs. Eventually the squeeze on opportunities results in players looking elsewhere. What's going on with Montmorency losing all these talented Kids who have come through their junior program. 100% players are allowed to look elsewhere, but to have such a successful junior program then lose 97% of your players is not good. Maybe its something the committee should be looking at. Maybe that's why they have never been a successful senior club.Correct, I have no doubt like all Clubs Mont would rather keep every player from junior ranks but that is never going to happen, especially for such a large junior Club. Every Club would want to keep all juniors but players are allowed to put their toes in waters of other leagues or club.
Do they have too, they aren’t considered close contactsWith the rampant cases going around in Melbourne and not stopping. I wonder what the NFNL are planning as a contingency plan if a person tests positive and the whole squad has to get PCR results before the weekend?
They’ve had heaps of local juniors playing in their seniors last season.100% players are allowed to look elsewhere, but to have such a successful junior program then lose 97% of your players is not good. Can't buy a Premiership!!!
My point is they could've had alot more if they didn't walk from the club. Two of the players from last year have walked even though they were regulars. Maybe the committee could've asked why you were leaving before rubber stamping the clearance. The senior club has always had a tilt at winning a flag, but go out and buy players after BORO winning the flag with 18 homegrown kids. Monty said that's the 5 year plan. They lost a home grown kid in Luke Collins to Bundoora because the club(COMMITTEE)didn't want to sit down and speak to him regarding a contract THAT BACKFIRED! And they started the rumour, he was asking huge coin to deflict the stuff up! Collins has gone on to become captain of the Bulls. They recently had a kid who won the 19s B&F and he didn't even get spoken to from the club regarding a senior contract, to make it even worse the senior coach didn't communicate with him wouldnt even know his name. Winning a club B&F you would think the club would want to keep him around. Makes me scratch my head in amazement. They’ve had heaps of local juniors playing in their seniors last season.
Without topping up with some A graders you are basically no chance. Look at West, Bundoora, Heidelbergs time at the top…
