There's a number of players that form part of the NGA but drop out once they turn 16. Forget what they call it but it's when the eligible players stay on.

Yeah it's to do with their original club or location they've come from. Zones established for eligible plays.
Metro are existing SANFL zones that aren't considered NGA zones.

As Max is yet to turn 18 and is already taller than Jim, although a lot lighter, I would say he will end up a big lad or at the very least a decent size.

The update for the Crows Instagram indicates ‘NGA Draft Eligible players..’ in reference to Michalanney & Keeler

Both look to have put on some size recently, particularly Keeler..

As Max is yet to turn 18 and is already taller than Jim, although a lot lighter, I would say he will end up a big lad or at the very least a decent size.

I certainly hope you’re right as he’s otherwise got all the tools to be a very good key defender.

Aren’t Crows Academies the club?

There have been NGA players in the Crows Academy/Port Academy that weren't eligible due to being city based for both Adelaide clubs, father/sons is a different case altogether because it's all down to eligibility based on the father's SANFL career. I'll take it to the bank when the AFL releases the list of father/sons eligible to the relevant clubs.

I get the NGA bit but father son is based on games eligibility. If as a club we are putting that info out there then we better have it right.

Look I'm not saying he's not eligible but I'll wait until the AFL list comes out before I'm taking it to the bank.

If he is eligible the club should get on the front foot and inform club supporters with the ongoing conjecture over his eligibility.

It appears he is which would be great for us although hopefully we don't need to use our 1st pick.

Oooo! According to that, they've specifically indicated Max as a F/S candidate (vs. Keeler as NGA).

So if they know what they're talking about, it looks like Max could be a F/S.

How is this a legacy left by Fagan? AFL changed rules last year. not that it matters Crows rarely act on our own NGA or F/S.
