Nick Daicos is the biggest seagull ever.
If you take away his kick ins, uncontested possessions and contested possessions yesterday he would've had 0 disposals.

This one is for those loyal Lions fans who still think young Nick doesn’t quite do it as well in congestion. Now that he is spending abit more time in the middle, we’re starting to see the season’s averages skew in Nick’s favour.

Instead of the regular little squabbles in random threads, it’d be more fun to confine it to one thread for the pissing contest.

YTD, here are their averages: (Nick on the left, Will on the right)

Who does it look like that does it better in the congestion?

Poll end date is close of Round 23, when the Lions and Pies meet.

Here's a better one:

Which ones are wrong here?
Maybe wrong or right is not the correct term, misleading is probably more correct.

To know which may be right, wrong or misleading you have to take into account how the stats are derived, for example
Contested Possession: A possession which has been won when the ball is in dispute. Includes looseball-gets, hardball-gets, contested marks, gathers from a hitout and frees for

Posessions can be from kick ins etc,

So even if the stats are right they may not be the best way to compare these two players.

Daicos averages 3.4 kick in play ons per game.

I’d love to have both of them in my team. Thankful we have one of them. Really not sure what threads like these achieve other than shit fights between posters that refuse to acknowledge guns from oppo clubs.

#1 in the competition for disposals yet not even top 50 for clangers. That’s impressive.
Yes and no.

Yes, because he is a very good user by foot and hits his targets

But no, because that Inside 50 kick is the hardest one. More Inside 50s, usually results in more Clangers.

Interestingly, he only just scrapes in to the top 50 in the comp for Rebound 50s too.

Does he kick short a lot?

In the very same post you acknowledge he’s a very good user then ask if he kicks short a lot. Do you watch him or not?

Not really at all surprising.

A contested possession % of 28% and an average disposal length of 15m per possession is the lowest combination I can remember from a player that plays the majority of his footy between the arcs with that amount of uncontested ball since most of these stats have been recorded.

If guys like Boomer and Ablett were the king of the one-two, Daicos has taken it to an entirely different level.

Adding 4 disposals per game from play-on kick in's helps his numbers also historically.

Historically he's averaging 29 touches per game, of which 28% of it is contested. That is definitely not unprecedented.

He's going at almost a goal a game, which is awesome for his starting position. But people overlook he attends over 30% of Collingwoods center bounces. He's basically a +1 midfielder with no opponent. He's not a half back.
