It’ll be interesting to see how opposition sides setup against him. The big (and only) ? I had on him was his ability to win his own ball and on Friday night he did that with ease so do they allow him to do his own thing or put time into him defensively? By the looks of it he’s going to average 25ppg from year 1 barring injury so I think Judd was right to ask whether he was as good as him out of U18’s! We were truly blessed the cards fell the way they did on draft night.
Sliding into a contest and handballing the ball out to his teammate in the highlights above.. was a dream .

Yep, that was a bit spec

When I saw that on Friday night, I did a double take and asked the guy next to me - did that really happen?

Nick has some sublime skills, and watching him will be a thing of beauty. But he will find it harder in ‘real’ games with more attention and less space.

Having Pendles playing half back too could help ease the pressure on him. I doubt any opposition coach wants the ball in Pendles hands too often with his elite vision and ability to open the game up.

Yeah, he is never going to be a clearance explosive beast. But that’s not a problem. That can be someone else’s go (whether they be on our list already or to yet be drafted).

Particularly given the preferred midfield structure Bolton outlined in the media.

Obviously much smaller, but he is going to be the perfect play making architect to replace Pendle’s going forward.

(Just out of interest even given all the hype regarding his mark, Horne Francis was very quiet for North, with only 13 disposals in their intra-club despite being on the dominant stacked A team and playing on lesser opponents)

Early stages, but it's looking like Pendles vs Daisy in terms of style.

Careful! If Kingy reads that he’ll honest to god track you down. The man has a McAvaney/ Cyril type rager over JHF…

The guy is honestly just a North Cheerleader via the media and is completely bias in his views. He did the same thing draft night everyone on the panel had Daicos 1 on their rankings except him. Doubt anyone takes what he says very seriously cause he is often wrong about a lot anyway lol.

He only had Him Number 1 as he knew North where Drafting Him and not Bidding on Daicos

Neither is the complete player. Daicos can do things Horne simply can’t and vice versa. Both will still be great players though. They are just different.

It was also quite funny because after all this talk of Goater’s kicking miraculously getting better by their supporters on here, he turned the ball over or grubbed the kick every single time.

Good reason Collingwood should get a Horne in a few years time then.

Wardlaw from reports and the little I’ve seen would be a great inside mid to complement Nick if we did happen to finish that low this year (Picks 1-4).

With the caveat that we’d be hoping he physically grows a bit taller.

Trained with us also. I like both him and Tstastas. But surely we go with a tall.

Roughy's comments regarding Nick's kicking, 'probably already the best kick at the club', isn't helping keeping a lid on things....

Bruce Andrew would be commenting on his delightfully "taught" insteps...his kicking style is perfect on both sides. (Just like his old man's)

For those that never saw his Dad play, whilst Josh certainly has some traits, Nick is more like him.
The link up play, knowing where to run, disposal, goal kicking and movement in traffic.
Fun times ahead.

Peter was my favourite player of all time like most, but when I saw Nick I actually saw Josh in him more…
