Its where he played in the vfl practice game, and excelled. His use of the ball down there just suited him.

Interesting in his interview he said that fly told him there was a spot down there so its his if he earns it.

So whose spot is it? Is this to release maynard?

probably Nobles spot as the rebounding defender.

I don’t see why Nick Daicos should be given the 35 jumper permanently.

Sure, he looks very exciting but has proven nothing yet at AFL level. Who can say with certainty that he’ll even be the better of the two Daicos brothers now on our list?

And also, who would want the pressure of wearing your superstar father’s jumper? That’s a hell of a lot of expectation for a teenager to live up to. The pressure could crush him.

You seem like the type who makes a lot of assumptions just for the sake of it. If anyone should be given the number permanently, it would be a Daicos. Him having to be as good as his father to wear it is dumb. Presti was nowhere near as good as Daicos and no one complained that he wore the number.

Lol he wants it.

They can introduce some other way to acknowledge the Presti sacrifice of 2010.
A special award/trophy to whomever (player/coach/staff/Member) who makes an incredible sacrifice for the Club that year.
Doesn’t have to be awarded every year…just when an extraordinary sacrifice is made…
The Simon Prestigiacomo Award.

They better throw Beams name on it to then as he did the same in 2011.

Beams pulled himself out of the GF.

The horse had already bolted by the time Beams “made” the call. He had his opportunity to pull a Presti the week before and blew it, going into the prelim with a sore groin thinking he could play through it. Ended up being subbed out at 3 quarter time with a couple of handballs. It was a selfish decision that was as I said the opposite of Presti the year before.

There you have Beams in a nutshell . . . self, self, self, self . . . and anything that's left over . . . self.

Do any footy cards still come with a strip of chewing gum?

Loved that smell when you ripped open a new packet.
I paid $275 for a 1973 Greening diecut from a bloke in Tassie, still smelled of Scanlens chewy.

My favourite card to this day, even though I've paid more for others.
