Was looking for moments from Reef (do think he has something) and then get reminded this is Nick’s first year in the system. Effortless and no looking for ‘moments’. He fits in already. F…me, he’s a freak and going to be something special.

We need to remember, he played basically zero football (because of covid shut-downs) for two years. Once he adds some size and gets his bearings (later this year and next) he will be awesome.

I think there is a limit to what he can be, just given his size and the likelihood that he gets tagged when he becomes more influential, however, we are truly blessed to have had a ball user like Pendles for 15 years and then to stumble across this Nick Daicos chap. We will be shaking our head with the sheer skill nearly every week.

Our next goal should be operation recruit Tom Green from GWS. He and Daicos together would be amazing for the next decade.

interesting comment about his size, from the top of the head his taller than Lachie Neal, G Ablett jnr, and D Swan. and probably close to C Judd.. all pretty damn good players.

He's 184cms - obviously has a light frame, but that never stopped his old man.

Gary Ablett Jr. has been my best case comparison for Nick for a while now. Standing by it.

He can play that’s for sure. He even attended Center bounces. He’s awarded 2 center clearances from 4 attendances.
Not a bad strike rate.

I think some of us (myself included) are to an extent taking for granted how well he's playing. He's a three-game player who is absolute class

All those players were light frames at 17-18, his certainly no Fyfe or Cripps body wise but I don't think his game is going to be a Bull contested clearance player like a Dagoey. Yes i'd be very happy if we get Ablett like games out of him :)

Ablett was like Swan in that he just had awesome power through the hips. Daics has dancing feet to avoid tackles, rather than the power to break them

Was sad to think pendles was near the end of his career. As he has been my favourite for many years. Nicks going to fill that void nicely.

Just gobsmacked at his composure and skill. That goal was ridiculous. Plus some of his passes.

The Josh Giddey of the AFL. Plays with maturity at such a young age and experience wise.

This is why I love sport. You think you’ve seen it all and the best there can be. Then another kid waltzes in and questions that.

Sure, in his mid 20s. Ablett at 19 was a twig. And I would definitely maintain that GAJ utilised agility more than power.

This kid is already suffering from Pendles syndrome. Any other 3rd gamer getting 26 disposals, 5 clearances and a goal we’d be losing our minds over, but we already just expect this sort of game from him. It’s mind boggling.
