Has Archer’s legends always been that expensive?
It was $450 or so back in 2014.
Increased to $500 then $540 and now $550.
Regardless of how many games we’ve sold it’s always gone up

18,837. By 1 Nov, we jumped to 21k.
As long as we're tracking to hit around 30 k by the new year. I reckon that we might smash our total next year ... I can feel it in my water ;)
  • An AFLW team
  • A VFL team
  • Upgrades at Arden Street
  • A likely further reduction in debt (not sure how that's tracking)
  • We performed way better than anybody expected in 2018, having fallen away only in the final rounds
  • And it's our 150th anniversary.
2019 could be a great year for the ROOs.

We have never hit 30k before the new year. It has taken us until Mid-February to hit that mark.

Minus the tassie influence and the figures might start going backwards

27 k is still a great figure to aim for. I still think that we'lldo better than 41 k next year and may even go up to around 43 k overall. That's my prediction.
It's where we have hovered about for the last few years. Reach this mark before the new year and we have a good shot at cracking past 40k.

Schimma Platinum went up $20 to $620.

Is becoming difficult to justify.

"Your 2019 membership entitlements, including a membership card and fulfilment pack, will be sent out to you in December."

Received this in an email from the Club today. It appears that I've been trapped by some smart wording in the 2018 renewal process. Sent an email back to the Club demanding that they drop the auto-renew option from me and my three grandchildren's records and forward the renewal package. There will be changes this year. 31 years a continuous member and have always renewed pre-Christmas. I'm a customer, not a f*****g number. Not happy Carl.

Surely there must have been some sort of error with the auto-renew process this year? It seems to have affected a disproportionate amount of people.

So you were on Auto Renewal and weren’t consulted and they have debited your account?

I don’t understand your renew pre Christmas statement?

This is the first year I have been on auto renewal and I received an email well in advance of the date that it would kick in. I wanted to make some changes this year so wandered into Arden St one day and was helped by a very helpful staff member, so the whole process worked smoothly for me

I’ve been on auto renewal since it kicked it. Always get the email well in advance, have made changes here and there, never a problem.

I have never knowingly joined the auto-renewal process i.e. I have never ticked a box.

I always renew pre Christmas as I take this as my Christmas present from my wife :).

Ok

Another of many caught up in this
In fairness to the club, I did receive an email one month prior to the auto-renew informing me that my membership would be renewed automatically on the 22nd October. I assume that all members with valid email addresses which they check regularly would have been equally informed.

That said, the auto-renew can have its drawbacks. Because the auto-renew takes effect two weeks before AFL fixture release it doesn't allow members to perhaps look at the fixture draw when it's released and to look at the membership package options and to determine which will be the best package for them for fothcoming season. Auto-renew is easier for the clubs and it definitely suits those lazy people - the types who never review their electrical power, insurance or telephone plans but who over time end up being screwed as their plans become uncompetitive. The membership auto-renew can keep re-signing members to membership packages which over time may become dated and expensive, but at the same time be delivering a hidden windfall to the AFL clubs.

Guys please those annoyed at price increases.
Everything goes up in price and I can understand people peeved at electricity, groceries, insurance, petrol, smokes, alcohol ect.
But this is our club. Let them increase price. If they need to. Anybody know if other clubs have increased their prices? If so by how much? Are we increasing ours by less or more?

Our clubs survived from generous supporters.

The membership tally is the worst way to count memberships.
Revenue from memberships is the best way to measure club membership ladders.
