That brain fade by Pant turned the game on its head. India were looking comfortable to that stage and really shouldnt have lost at tea. They just crumbled after that. Its amazing what pressure does to teams.
In all honesty it is an Indian team in decline but any team with Bumrah and the resources they have will be strong and hard to beat even outside of India.
India have some excellent youngsters coming through (Sundar and Reddy for example), and have invested a lot in their talent pathways. At the moment, however, they have too many out of form veterans (Kohli, Sharma).

Hate to say it but a lot more talent is coming through them
We could be in some trouble next tour

Firstly, I don’t like drop in pitches.

Second i like seeing cracks and foot holes.

That pitch had no up n down bounce, it was a batters paradise.

Not a great test pitch
Results generally do indicate is a pitch was well prepared, despite your dislike of dropins i gotta adree with EDFL follower, in golf a couse is considered well prepped if round 12under wins.

Says more about where each teams batting is at. Look at how much both tails put on. That says it all

No, it says that once the ball got old it was easy to bat on. The 1st 30-40 of every innings there was plenty of movement off the seam and was tough going against the quicks.

It was a very good pitch.

We've got to find some batsmen for next years Ashes or we will be in trouble. The Poms have got a good group of quicks coming through.

Hello Dinkers.

If you were an Indian fan, how would rate Virat's collision with the teenage debutant?

i) Brave
ii) Courageous
iii) Inspiring
iv) All of the above
Well hi Mr KC , not really sure, personally I enjoyed it and thought it added further spice. I like that he was booed , am sure it would be much worse for him had no one bothered. Which is kind of what I hope Nmfc fans do when we play at home against Jason Horne-Francis.

Just ignore him and his treacherous ways.

WTF does that even mean? New ball is hard to bat against? The pitch was a flat road with next to no spin, even bounce, no cracks in the pitch. Come on,

Alright we won, good win. Just. Just won that.

Pitch, was a flat as road and rather boring to watch.

That Jaiswell played out almost 200 deliveries.

Was flat, slow and nothing in it.

Haha, was there yesterday on day 4 and evertime Bumrah came on he was getting the ball to talk, same with Siraj. There was good bounce and carry when the ball was hard. Marnus struggled to lay bat on it and he was set. Mitch Marsh's dismissal, although seeing them like Stevie Wonder, reared on him. Carey's jagged back through the gate and Marnus's LBW jagged back off the seam. The pitch did plenty when the ball was hard. You just refused to see it. 😄

Marnus should be dropped, Marsh also.. dude. Nuh. Road.

Just because a ball seams doesnt mean its a good wicket. Its just a good delivery.

The 5 days arent for full on 5 day play.. theres time in there for weather, light and other shit.

Only bloke in Australia who reckons that was a boring test match
Almost as bad a take as thinking Flemo was a better bowler than Bumrah is

Bumrah is an over rated bum.

And im not the only bloke that thinks it was boring. The last 3 hrs was delicious. I was having a discussion with a grade cricketer this arvo about it.

Pitch was rubbish. Stoked for the win though

Grandpa Dinkers, Ol’ Sunil, took the result well.

Well, we got the win, great effort by the boys but what the hell happened to India, I mean what 3 for 126 and just after tea lose 7 wickets, with the trophy on the line? Someone said they have some good youngsters coming up, by god they are going to need them. All out for 155 on the last day of one of the most important tests for India for quite some time, not only did they implode but with this win I'd be surprised if anybody gets dropped from our team, Usman and Mitchell probably get two more innings each to show if they are playing against Sri Lanka after this tour I think we need another youngster {batsman}, now whether that is Mcsweeney or someone else I'm not sure, to replace Usman, and either go for an allrounder or specialist batsman down the order if Mitch fails in Sydney.

India are on their knee's after this test, the only way we can stuff this up is if we try to defend the last test with our 2-1 lead, we have them, now we must break them, attack is the best defence, if we play our natural game after 10 years we can take the trophy and India while having two or three gun youngsters all of a sudden look to be relying on them too much while others in that team are more under the pump than you can imagine.

There's an old saying in sport, time waits for no one. Go boys and finish them off in Sydney, to me the old enemy {England } is always great to watch {the Ashes} and have had and will have many great battles but the only team I dislike is India, that's just me, not the players in general, just the team, so I hope we destroy them and show them we are still bloody hard to beat!

We got one young exciting talent into the team {Kontas} I reckon the Sri Lanka tour or England would be a very good time to blood a youngster called Ollie Davies, he's 24 he's got the ability, he was a key cog in the 2020 under-19 world cup in the middle order, can bowl right arm off spin and with him and Kontas that is some serious firepower in that team blended with youth and plenty of experience. ;)

For clarity, next Indian tour
Ashes we should lose a couple at the end
Theres a couple of talented young batsmen at Brighton gram. Few years away but one is in year 11 (iirc) with more hype than pucovski and theres a young aus/indian lad that is blowing the socks off people at 13 years old.

But yes, there is an issue..

Ha I haven't read much of anything was watching on my Chinese rip off iPhone , which truth be told is good enough and a quarter of the price.
I'm on a roadtrip taking in Finley, Corowa, Tarrawingee, Beechworth Bright, Harrietville.

Will head for home today, recharge and off to the gold fields for a few days.
I need to find enough gold to make a homemade chain like 50 cents.
I have a quarter of the first link already lol.

I'll bite. Anyone who thinks that was a boring Test and that Jasprit Bumrah isn't as good as Scott Boland should be immediately ignored when it comes to cricket.

It wasn't a fantastic pitch, but it wasn't bad. For the first three days it had nothing. It didn't swing, seam, spin and the bounce was true and spongy. Genuine nicks were hard to find and never carried to the slips when they did. Bowlers were bowling for bad shots and largely the batters obliged. I was worried the Test could end like the 2017 Ashes. But on the last couple of days it was noticeably harder to bat on.

The batting was very ordinary in parts. Some limp dismissals by the Australians in both innings. Some brain dead ones by the Indians in both. Even at the end, Washington leaving the tail exposed early in overs was incredibly dumb. If India have a decent reserve keeper, and if they continue picking 8 batters, they could afford making a change there - that's how idiotic both Pant's dismissals were. When was the last time a Test captain was straight out dropped from the XI? Marsh might be cooked, but Sharma is burnt to a crisp. As was JaiswaI in the first innings by Kohli when he could still be batting now - absolutely barbecued. if either side had good batting line ups it would have taken some creative declarations to conjure a result.
