Yeah I’ve never thought he was much good, certainly not that good anyway.Nathan *en Lyon has 440 test wickets
The issue is that he never changes pace and just has **** all variety.Yeah I’ve never thought he was much good, certainly not that good anyway.
Further to this about how boring he is.Saw a comment on cricinfo being critical of lyons 4th innings strike rate, then he goes and gets a 6-fa

Today was like his 5th five for in a second innings. Gerard whateley was ejaculating in the box talking about it this morning
Yeah on a wearing pitch - you’d think bowling a bit outside off stump to get the batsman cutting would create the opportunity to bowl them through the gate. The issue is that he never changes pace and just has * all variety.
We’ve been spoilt by watching an era of elite spinners (Warne, muralitharan, kumble, Vettori) who can all change speed, flight, length and have variation that puts pressure on and they know when to actually slow the game down and flight deliveries.
Lyons a boring as s**t stock off break bowler
Think you guys are a bit harsh on Lyon
440 wickets is nothing to sneeze at.
He's a bit lucky in that he generally bowls when his batsmen have got large totals which keeps the pressure on. and agree that he could vary is pace a bit more and doesn't really have an arm ball.
But bounce more so than turn gets good players out and he uses that very well
I think its in the area of most runs ever in a test? Or approaching?Last session coming up... Pakistan need 86... England need 5 wickets... The new ball is due soon.
With everything that has gone on in this test, IF it comes down to the last handful of overs and all 3 results are still in play, you could mount an argument that this is right up there in the greatest tests of all time!
How are there 51 overs remaining?Last session coming up... Pakistan need 86... England need 5 wickets... The new ball is due soon.

Thank goodness for Green 'eh? Without him, the Windies might not have even got to bat in this match.300 for 3
another riveting day of test cricket.......
.....or move them to Tasmania.Windies should merge
