That was amazing. I turned the TV on and it was 3/7. Most of the wickets were genuine edges too.

I was captain of a team that bowled the opposition out for 11 one day. Highest score was 4 and there were 3 extras.

When the first innings ended I realised I couldn’t stay up for another whole innings because I had too much to do today. Left the TV on while I got ready for bed, and it was all over before I’d brushed my teeth. Much too embarrassing to be fixed, it was just good bowling and inadequate batting and momentum and pressure.

When I was captain of our Under 12s team, we bowled a team out for 3. Our opening bowler took 7 for 1. We knocked up 70-odd and declared to go for the outright. This really annoying parent from our team had a sook about his kid not getting to bat so we had to let everyone except the opening bowler have a crack at them in the second dig. We had them 9/10 and ran out of time for the outright.

When I was captain of our Under 12s team, we bowled a team out for 3. Our opening bowler took 7 for 1. We knocked up 70-odd and declared to go for the outright. In under 16s we used to bowl teams out for around 20 regularly. Then our opening bowler and leg spinner would open the batting and make 150 before anyone else got a bat. They changed the rule to forced retirement at 50 after that. I batted at 4 and only batted 5 times one season, had to play in the mens seconds to get a hit most weekends. Wasn’t much fun really.
