So much to do. After 13 hours on a new save I think I'm only just nearly finished with my specialists missions now. After that I'll go and construct a real base, and not something random I've thrown together with cross crossed wires going every where. I guess a benefit of base over freighter is the automated miners and stuff?

I still haven't even been to the Atlas on this save which I should do soon for the pass. Need to repair my freighter as well as it got damaged last mission. Are there any easier ways than physically climbing over the damn thing?

Not that I know of. Please share if you ever find a way

But guys, base building is half the fun of this game now...it's become a bigger and bigger aspect of the game with each update. I agree the power thing is a bit annoying but I built a shitload of solar panels and batteries so it's a non-issue now.

I guess I'm more into the space exploration side of things at the moment.

There is definitely something glitchy going on with landings at the moment. I landed underground just before and fell through the planet into space when I got out of my ship but then I landed back on the surface. I turned around and just the roof of my starship was visible. Then I somehow managed to land here at a trading post..

Also, it seems I've lost the option to input navigation data into my signal booster to scan for manufacturing facilities and the like. All I can do is input drop pod coordinates which are useless to me as my suit is maxed out or do a planetary scan for structures.

I was checking out my storage pods on my freighter when I was teleported outside to the top of the freighter for a bit, then underneath somewhere below the flight deck and then finally i ended up in the corridor behind the bridge. I thought I might have to parachute down to the planet for a while there

What type of f*cking planet do ya'll have your bases on? Mine is on a red planet with extreme heat, weather storms, and aggressive sentinels - pretty much the worst type of planet you can build a base on. But it had all the resources I wanted at the time so I just said f*ck it, I'll build here. It was only supposed to be a temporary base until I found something better, but it's turned into a humongous base.

I've got bases on all different kinds of planets with varied levels of complexity, but my main one is a paradise planet. I have got some semblance of a 'market garden' going on, this morning I managed to put together about 150 million credits worth of components with bits and pieces I had lying around. Pity I've got nothing to spend the money on

Have you unlocked all the base parts? I've still got a way to go.

Have you guys bought anything from the quicksilver shop? I don't have any quicksilver and haven't even bothered googling how to get it yet.

I think I've pretty much unlocked them all, still got a couple of things to go. I haven't bothered with quicksilver much, think it's something to do with social events or something, which I've totally ignored. I have fifty, have no idea from where I got them though

ME EARLIER

Just got the blueprint to make Atlas v3 passes! Alright!! I'll be able to loot all the locked rooms in all the space stations!!!

THEN

Yeah. This is a bit underwhelming. Just more planter boxes. +25 carbon. Look, a yellow box. +1 ion battery. Yawn.

I chose to look on the positive side and all the stuff I didn't miss out on when I couldn't unlock the door

Has anyone played around with the food/nutrient stuff yet? I've been collecting all these beans and peas and s**t but not sure if there's any point.

I've done the missions where you have to feed creatures and collect their ****ing poo samples (faecium). LOL. Other than that, I haven't played with the nutrient processor to make different types of food. I think they stole the cooking idea from breath of the wild.

Is there even an end to this game? It feels like it just goes on and on into infinity. I would bet that only a very, very small percentage of people who have started playing this game have finished it.
