Actually alchemy was never meant to be a literal transmutation of metals - it was all written in symbolic language to hide from the persecution of the church. That’s why it was called the Philosopher’s Stone. In fact, true alchemists mocked the “charcoal burners” and the “puffers” who thought it was meant to be taken literally.
However, it was these people who invented things like gunpowder.
Gunpowder was invented by the Chinese in the 9th century and they were not ****ing alchemists.
Please, start reading some better books.
