You’re probably right, but lose to this Adelaide team in Victoria then we don’t deserve to be in September imo. It’s frustrating, but added to early season debacles like GC and Carlton we wouldn’t measure up.
You can stop banging on about GC and Carlton ... a long long time ago. GC were actually playing well back then

Agree. Just got to get it done.

We have everything to play for. No excuses. We should be that fired up we should crush them.

Yep, leaving it until round 23 to book a finals spot is the real issue. We stitched up Brisbane in Ballarat but people will conveniently forget that if we lose tomorrow.

Not banging on about it, but good teams didn’t lose to them. They beat Carlton, Freo and us by a kick then lost to everyone else - often by buckets of goals. Crows beat them by 73 points two weeks after they beat us at our home stadium.

We played Dunkley forward, alongside Gowers, with an undersized back line etc. I don’t want to re-litigate it but if we don’t make finals there are more factors than we didnt beat Adelaide in Rd 23 or our percentage should’ve been better.

The club should be lauded for the second half of the season - amazing turnaround. But the first half was questionable and the AFL’s fixturing didn’t help us either. I think that was my main point but I’m knee deep in Shiraz so I may have lost the thread somewhere...

And yet you're still going on about it

How about just letting it go instead of living in the past

Can't rely on the 2 WA clubs for anything - too flakey and a chip the size of Jupiter regarding perceived Victorian bias.

If the Hawks hold on, it basically eliminates Adelaide from the finals race - they would need a 70 point plus win. No incentive to win tomorrow to open the door for Port to sneak in.
That’s a great point.

I agree, sorry. We’re the best team in the comp right now, not sure why we won’t get a double chance - why does it matter that other teams won more than us in April and May?

Four points are the same in April as they are in August. My original point was that if we lose tomorrow it’s not because we played Adelaide in Ballarat- it’s because we lost multiple games to bottom six teams.

Hopefully that really demotivates Adelaide who now need to win by 100 to make finals, come out flat as a tack tomorrow pls Crows

Don’t play fixturing card bullshit, we had the easiest start in the league yet still found ourselves 2-4

Was at G Friday nite and everyone, aligned or otherwise, was pretty confident of a big crowd rematch in 2 weeks.

Hawks didnt get the memo obviously. Not all bad WC given tbeyre guaranteed at least one home final and the opportunity to build some momentum without travel (for one game anyway).

Slightly off topic but it kinda suggests how difficult it is to back up and win 2 flags in a row. West Coast a very skilled team. What a team the Hawks were to win 3 in a row.

Considering the Crows apparently played well against the Eagles over there, has it changed since the Hawks smashed them by over 60 points? Are we over rating the Eagles?

If they don’t get Nic Nat back, can’t see them getting there. Still a very good side, but that’s due to the core of their side being in their prime (25-29 range). Only really have Hurn & Kennedy over 30, how they replace them properly is the big worry for them. Other important players like Shuey, Jetta & Sheppard (very underrated player) not far behind
