Heard a few calls to SEN from Tigers supporters in Sydney or Canberra who are GWS members for exactly this GF scenario - guaranteed GF tickets without much outlay.

Wonder how many GWS members are actually supporters of other clubs that see the purchase as an investment of this type? Be interesting to see the actual amount of orange in the crowd.

Anyway, they deserve to be there. If they beat Brisbane, Pies and Tigers in three consecutive away games it’ll be a great effort. Just hope like hell it doesn’t happen.

The best part is that they were spinning it as a positive. Although their intentions were a little vague, somehow it was going to help with the massive mismatch in support at the ground that is going to be apparent.

My black heart just saw it as a massive failure and a pretty good insight into the numbers of people that actually support the club enough to get off their arses and come to the game that in the end is the point of it all. I guess this is the level of support that you engender when very few people actually pay to watch a GWS game.

Like if you win Tattslotto and set yourself up for life I guess. That takes hard work and graft (and extreme good fortune..cough AFL concessions, high draft picks, cash cough... but forget that).

I got my 2016 GF standing room tickets that way.

Standing room seats that were rejected by Swans members were sold off on a first-in-best-dressed basis to Bulldogs members who had their name in the raffle but missed out.
