Can’t stand Chris Scott, but so far he has absolutely pulled Ken Hinkley’s pants down in this match.

Butters and Rozee seem to have been unsighted for the entire first half

The much vaunted Port midfield been pantsed by a vanilla Cats mob

This game is a good reminder to our cocky fans on here thinking Geelong will just be a walk through. They show up in big games and are well coached, no matter where their list profile is at.

Port away is just as bad, as they will come out hard following a week of heat if they drop this game. On a ground we struggle the most at. There is no easy games in finals.

One only needs to look at how often Geelong's demise has been declared in recent years, to understand how good a coach the guy is.

Coaching is massively underestimated.

Geelong have some talent but in a draft of the top eight clubs’ lists would probably be taken 6th-8th. Scott is the best coach in the comp by a decent margin, his flogness notwithstanding.

Sydney have more talent but they’ve got significant issues with talls at both ends of the ground but that doesn’t seem to matter much - good coaching overcoming it. Hawks have the same list issues, doesn’t seem to matter much.

If it ends up being another cats v swans gf, two years after the same teams met there, when neither had amazing lists in either year, then it’ll reinforce the points above.

I hope not, because that would be a ****ing boring gf between two of my most disliked teams. But it looks a possibility right now.
